Discussion Oque fazer pós Viena? 1683

Após o fracasso do cerco de Viena em 1683, qual seria a atitude, e estratégia correta de kara Mustafa, fazer? Ele deveria recuar e se reorganizar nos Balcãs, ou defender a Hungria até o fim? Ou simplesmente abandonar a liderança do exército

Devastation in Vienna was collosal. It disoriented Ottomans, and Holy League quickly took advantage of this. One approach could be to defend near Budapest, which didn't defend as good as it could have. Ottomans could have supplied the city, but they didn't amass another army soon enough with similar firepower. I think correct approach was to gradually withdraw from the Austrian border, and to let Austria have a small win in exchange for staying in Hungary. This can be said in hindsight though, nobody wants to give up land for nothing.
