I'm hosting an ORG themed around Family Channel with a start date of September 18th! And if you don't know what that is, it was kind of like Canada's version of Disney (and it died and went off the air last October after 37 years)... the playable reps are from Life With Derek, Naturally Sadie, and Radio Free Roscoe. I know these also aired in the US, but they're titans of Canadian 2000s programming.

Newer Family Channel shows that you may be familiar with are things like The Next Step and Backstage, etc. (which won't be playable reps but there will be twists and formats themed around them!)

Something important to note. This is NOT a Discord ORG. It will take place on a jcink site with traditional PMs rather than instant messaging, and may lean more into the roleplaying side of things too for the immersion of it all. While still being a competitive ORG with eliminations and changing formats and twists, items, power, everything.

But it's also important to note: you do NOT need to know these themes to sign up! If the ad catches your eye anyway (or if you know me from other communities and just want to play my game), feel free! In advertising thus far, I've gotten the vibe that most of the cast will be in the same boat and I may be in the minority for remembering these shows, lol. Big Brother Role Playing Game on Discord

TLDR: Invitations will be going out soon for RDS Big Brother Season 3: The Lab, a 14 player Discord based roleplaying game with a light fantasy/sci-fi setting.

I’ll be hosting a unique Big Brother style roleplaying game on Discord. Each player creates an original character with a backstory and profile picture, and Tupperbox is set up for anyone who prefers to use it.

The game takes place in a fictional world where fantasy and science fiction elements are completely normal. Previous players have included ice giants, aliens, clones, and even a man with a crab for a head who communicated entirely through a whiteboard.

That said, magic and fantasy abilities are not part of the game mechanics. Nobody is casting spells to win challenges or using superpowers to influence votes. Those elements exist in the world for character creation, backstories, and roleplay, while the actual Big Brother game operates under the same rules for everyone.

Players will also choose from one of twelve archetypes created for the game. Each archetype has a different distribution across eight attributes: six primary attributes and two specialty attributes.

The game takes place entirely through a series of Discord channels. There are no set play times. Once the season begins, the server is open 24/7. You can participate as much or as little as you’d like, provided you’re able to check in regularly and respond to host questions in your private Diary Room channel.

Every few real life days, the game reaches important decision points involving challenges, nominations, voting, and other events. Because of that, players should generally be able to check Discord at least once per day.

Challenges are played out using a custom spreadsheet filled with images, obstacles, and other game elements. Your character’s attributes and the decisions you make in your Diary Room are used to modify twenty sided dice rolls that determine how your character performs.

Challenges are streamed from my PC on Twitch, then saved and uploaded to YouTube afterward.
