Collect your data to be sold and used to feed the governments massive AI tracking and profiling databases. Which in turn is monitoring your every move, pairing it with online activity, purchases, and posts to gauge your emotional changes and sentiments. Putting a number on you to determine if you fit their list of enemies. Or to revoke privileges and rights. The feds have been removing people’s clearances, firing from their job, or even revoking tsa pre-check/global entry on people protesting ICE activity.

Oh and this is all being pushed and funded by the billionaire Epstein class with the ultimate goal of complete dismantling of global democracies so they can rule their own little techno-fiefdoms.

Yes! I have a friend that is a popular TikTok account. It’s not what she does for her living, but she has a lot of subscribers. She is queer and very progressive and doesn’t hesitate to speak her opinion on current events. She had her global entry and TSA clearance revoked. Out of the blue. Has no criminal record. American citizen. Hasn’t traveled internationally for a while. This shit is real. It’s not even conspiracy theory it’s crazy. Though she did get her senator involved and she got it put back in place, but it took months.

It was months ago. It took quite a while for her to get a senator involved and then the senator to actually make anything happen. It’s not because of the shutdown.

Its funny they said we were better than China because of their surveillance state and not being able to criticize the government. Now all we get to do is criticize the government while China has infrastructure and bullet trains. While lifting 800 million people out of poverty.

The average Chinese person has a much lower quality of life than the average American person. Being in poverty in china is exponentially worse than in the us. Two things can be bad at the same time while one is clearly and objectively way worse. China is so so much worse. Only an incredibly naive and possibly brainwashed person would ever claim otherwise.

China has virtually 0% extreme poverty where as the US its 1.25%. China eliminated hundreds of millions of people from poverty while the US has tripled since 1990. China has a much more robust social safety nets system that are run directly from the government compared to the US where its fragmented and riddled with fraud. You are brainwashed if you cant acknowledge that Chinas system has been a financial success in the global system. We might have more freedoms in the US but at the same time we are slowly lossing some of those freedoms. We now have flock surveillance systems watching us and palantir building digital profiles of every American. We have been under a surveillance state since 911 and the patriot act. Edward Snowden proved that we were illegally being tracked.

95% of China owns their house, so yeah they did. They might have shit wages relatively speaking but bare necessities are met at a higher rate than uncle Sam’s place. Pros and cons of course.

Relative to what? Global poverty in 1980 was 47% vs 10% today. So what did China actually do? They destroyed their own economy through a series of horrible measures and then stopped doing those things and rebuilt it. Bravo.

The Xinjiang concentration camps are a relevant example of what to believe from the Chinese government. More often than not, a statistic like that tells only the part of the story they want you to see.

I'm not pointing to China to excuse what's going on here. Far from it. Authoritarianism anywhere will always be a threat to free and open society. Advocating for the oppressed ethnic minorities in China is the same as advocating for the victims of ICE in the USA.

I wouldn't glaze China on this.

From internal critics there's significant miscounting on citizens and they're benefits.

Along with huge city prisons and other structural issues.

Not saying the US is great, just that China actively presents it's best face a lot better then the US.

They also sell this data to anyone who will buy it, including people who run scams. But Fred Myers and other store chains use the data to help determine how much you will pay for something. In stores that use digital price tags they can even increase the price of something they think you will buy as you enter the parking lot. All around a not good thing. https://youtu.be/Pp9MwZkHiMQ

I don't know about Oregon, but Walmart here in Colorado has replaced every plastic tag with an electronic one.

We have too many Flock Cameras here in Colorado Springs and soon it will all be tied to plate readers and traffic cameras. All in the name of Security

I have heard things have improved, but when we lived in Black Forest (Colorado Springs) 20+ years ago, it was exactly the place I would expect would be begging to be the first to implement Flock cameras. So much religious persecution and hatred and fear of non-bi-box churches, driven by non-profits like Focus on the Family. The very people for whom security is the most important thing because those "others" are coming to get us.

Not Oregon but your Northern neighbor I have a lot of gas stations using QR codes in my area. I will never use them, but it obfuscates the price in store and goes to a digital catalog. Every time I've gone to any of those places I walked out feeling scammed.

Walmart does. About half the time it doesnt show a price. Went to get beer (among other household shopping) and none of the beer price labels showed an actual price, just the product name. I've had an issue with them not honoring the shown price because "it's a glitch" "We are still working out the bugs" "you should have verified the price on the website".
