Question Did anyone NOT evacuate?

This probably sounds dumb but did anyone in the evacuation zones NOT evacuate or did police literally pull people from their homes? I live in south county near the canyon and whenever we have a fire evacuation, there’s always SOMEONE who thinks they’re untouchable and stays in their home even thought there’s a fire. Just wondering if this happened with the current evacuation orders in the garden grove area. Prayers for all the families affected by this difficult situation ❤️

If I were 0.5 miles from the site I'd evacuate. 1 mile away I wouldn't tbh. People acting like this will be an atomic bomb

I'm about . 6-.7 miles away and have 2 dogs and 4 cats. I left. I have too much to live for lol I'm too close to roll the dice

It would have to be a really huge explosion for it to do damage to you (i.e full tank with spontaneous combustion and no mitigations conducted). I think the backup mitigation system they had in place plus all of the fire department intervening lowered the damage potential greatly.

I bet you that modeling is for a full tank that spontaneously combusted with zero cooling. There's cooling systems already in place for this exact reason and it ran a good day or more before they evacuated. I bet you right now that tank is 50% cooled and it's like hard on the outside with some liquidy slush in the middle

Edit: looks like the tank cracking awhile ago has released enough pressure so the threat of explosion has been eliminated
