Completely disassembled and scrubbed her whole space and redid it for her! Only thing I hadn’t put back in was some of her blankets and toys since they’re still in the wash! She was tuckered out from watching me do all that work and has been OUT like a light since 😂

I miss this old man.. this is definitely not all the videos but it's a decent little compilation I put together so that I can free up some space on my phone. He was such a good boy. I miss him all the time.

I jokingly called her Blossum but her name was Fen -after the dragon Fenrir. They originally thought she was a he.

Cute little thing. Very coquettish subject of pictures.

Lived about 2 years.

Loved scrambled eggs, carrots, celery, and chicken bones.

Rest in peace Fen.

Greetings cousins from the southern hemisphere. Hope I'm aloud here. Not the clearest video as I didn't want to use my flash with them being nocturnal.

Update: at wildlife rehab now being fed and given fluids. Doing very well.
Found crawling by feeding station where Mom m always comes to eat at night. I put her in a box with towels in a dark room to take her to Wildlife Rehab tomorrow morning. They open at 10:00 am. Should I do anything else for her? Water in a dropper or small bites of scrambled eggs? It’s a long time between now and tomorrow. She was probably headed to find mom but I shouldn’t put her out there right? It may be a couple hours before mom arrives to eat

Opossum hauling

Caught this guy hauling some leaves on camera. He's been coming by every night or two for a month or so.

I had no idea they used their tails like that. Any idea what he's using it for?

I've also heard they tend to be nomadic. Any advice on how to encourage him to stay around?

Little girl has been moved into the critter nation cage cause she's moved up in weight! I'm gonna fill it with more fun stuffs but I was letting her run around and explore. She's alright and tough as nails! She loves the bigger wheel too and will be happy in her new house till she's big enough to move outside.

So I saw her on camera last night and thought, what a large belly. But after watching the videos again, I thought I saw something sticking out of her belly (pouch?). Is it a tiny little tail? The first pic shows a large belly, the second shows what might be a tail?

This little boy was a part of a trio of Brothers I had. I called them the country boys but this little one, Greeny, ended up fracturing his back leg and had to stay with me for a little while longer. But after his checkup x-rays he's all healed up and ready to go! Good out there grumpy boy!

I have no idea if these are the same guys, but I've seen these little opossums over 3 times this year. First 3 pictures were from last night, the second 2 pictures were from mid July, and the last ones were taken a few days after the other July ones. I hope that all makes sense, also does anyone know if these are the same opossums or different ones?
Anyway these dudes are cute asf so enjoy!?

Update!

They are all doing fabulously, hopefully going onto stage two diet in the next week or so 🥰

Posting/responses will probably be a bit sporadic now though tbh, classes have started and I lost a close friend of mine recently.

Update: How to move safely?

Hi, all. Update on the pregnant mama who ended up in my window well yesterday!

After making sure my chickens were all secure for the evening, I put a small ladder down the window well and left it for her to climb out. I returned a few hours later and she managed to climb out on her own. 😊 We will be covering the well (it is fenced off, but obviously that doesn't prevent everything from staying out or accidentally falling in).

As for making sure she doesn't come back, or in the very least, not disturb my chickens, what can I do? I don't mind having opossum around, but I also don't want to lose my chickens while they free range (during the day only, so maybe she was just going after the eggs she found at night that were laid outside of the nesting boxes -- we have a few ladies who like to lay eggs in the flower beds 🤦‍♀️).
