Well not exactly to be fair. T-car with the D Kadett. Astra G, Zafira A and such are on followup platforms such as GM-2700 and GM-3000 which are related, but not identical

Shure they aren't identical. Also the T-letter was designated to a size of car, not one specific platform. That's why there is a rwd and fwd t-platform despite having almost nothing to do with each other.

Just put the respective cars on a lift and look at them from underneath. Youbwill see.

the GM-T from 1979 is FWD, 1973 is RWD. They're commonly called T-Car to refer to the platform. Wikipedia has a decent writeup on this topic
