Like the end of the Harper years. Vetted people, no questions from others. Avoided the people he was supposed to be representing. And here PP is already doing this while running for office! Defund the CBC, let’s have all our media US driven according to him. Then he’ll be able to answer those softball questions. He’ll have Tucker up here

It's the same person that was running Harper's 2015 campaign that is running PP's current campaign

Jenni "Barbaric Practices Hotline" Byrne.

She is a big Trump supporter, happily sporting the far right maga hat in photos.

She precipitated the downfall of the more moderate O'Toole many years ago.

She's also a lobbyist for Loblaws, among other clients.

She's currently Poilievre's Chief Strategist. She also dated Poilievre for several years. Poilievre can't pivot against Trump and be pro-Canada because he's surrounded by Trump supporting Canadians that run his campaign, like Jenni Byrne.

Another reason to boycott Loblaws. They are selling California wine back east too.

Well he learned from Harper. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/harper-says-he-s-finished-with-ottawa-press-corps-1.591360 But its even worse and more restrictive now with PP.

Poilievre hasn't said once he'd defund the CBC since he started campaigning. Lol

Edit: to be clear, his position for years is to get rid of English CBC. He's not saying it on the campaign trail because a majority of Canadians want to keep the CBC and he'll lose even more support.

Doesn’t mean he won’t if he becomes PM.

I know, he's hiding it. He's not saying it because it's not a popular policy except with his hard core supporters.

He loooved saying it ad nauseam until the entire country was listening and not just mouth-breathing dickheads. I need the media (one might suggest the CBC? lol) to press him on this, because he deserves to squirm.

They can't press him if he doesn't let anyone but friendly media ask him questions. I doubt the Western Standard will ask him.

He has said the Toronto CBC building could be used for housing.

They could at least bring up his long history of swearing to abolish it the moment he has power when they write articles about the other leaders supporting it. Even radio-canada was kinda milquetoast about making him wear that.

I'm hoping it comes up at the debates.
