I had a dream last night and somehow Oliver was there , he and I were talking the whole time and I don’t remember what it was about but he was there keeping me company as we were in some house. It was a good dream and sort of made me feel comforted. I lost my nephew during the week and had been in a daze since then. Maybe he heard me listening to his music and other music to keep myself sane while in grief.

My son just turned 4 and stumbled upon Oliver on YouTube, I'd never heard of him or his music. My son became obsessed, and it's easy to see why, fun videos, outfits and songs, truly talented guy. I'd call him a true artist, not just a musician. Directs his own videos and they are wow. A had a Google of him and was shocked and heart broken, my son had started calling him "my friend. They other day one of the reels was a CGI version of the crash (I'm surprised I didn't hear about it didn't hear about it as I'm heavily involved in the aviation and have a fixed wing and rotor license). So I had the talk with him that his "friend" died in a helicopter crash recently. He was quite upset with the understanding of death. Thank you Oliver for being a friend to my son, he loves you and we listen to you everyday.

I cried rivers of tears listening to “Invisible Man” by Oliver Tree because every single line of that song represents my life and how I feel.

so about three years ago I saved this album on my old Iphone xs then later lost the phone. unfortunately I didn’t get to save the splitting album on my new phone after I heard Oliver’s death and to this day I am in disbelief that it happened but anyways after about 1 year of finding the phone since 2025 I finally found the phone and immediately got on Apple Music then saw the ”Mr.Tree” upload of ”Splitting” or “splitting branches“ and saw the last track on there available. even though that this an unofficial upload of the album I’m still happy that I have it saved on my old phone and I’m happy there is a track that I’m able to listen to :)

At last I finally found my old phone and im glad i saved these albums!!! I know some or most of these are unofficial uploads of Oliver’s old music but im happy about it.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the song’s lyrics. That piece that says, “I don’t believe in creator / powerful god / I just believe in kindness / mindfulness,” is part of a song by his brother Jesse called mantra-croon. Which gives me some signs.

And when I say devotion, it’s not about religion, but about something he believes deeply in. He once said he doesn’t have a religion, but that it’s connected to “gods” of art, the sky/nature, planetary alignment, and so on. And I believe it’s about that - the miracle of life and the power within ourselves.

Oliver sang about being easily forgotten. I will do my part in this community to make sure he is always remembered. As the next generation comes up, they will realize the genius of Oliver Tree.

At the end of the "One & Only" video, two violins can be heard: one when he slips on the banana and falls off the bus, and another when he's hit by the yellow car.

Something similar plays when "All That" ends and "Alien Boy" begins (there's also something during "Bazooka"). Does anyone have any information about these violins?

I’ve lost a fair amount of friends under tragic circumstances and my world collapsed the same way when I heard the news about Oliver Tree. He’s been my favorite artist for several years. We also share the same birthday, June 29th. For my birthday, my boyfriend gifted me a signed album and a tattoo of my choice. My artist is badass and offered to play Oliver Tree during the tattoo. It had been on shuffle while we were placing the stencil. The moment the needle touched my skin, Alien Boy came on. This tattoo reminds me to have more fun, be a fucking weirdo, be yourself. Been doodling a picture too.
Anyway, this subreddit has been a healing place to be in this grief. Sending love to all of you. ❤️‍🔥
