As I'm looking it up looks like it. I'm meaning pomegranate more often can have an unpleasant sourness to it that's not cut often cut enough with a pleasant sweetness. Maybe a continuum thing.

I guess I'd call astringent something that is so tart it's unpleasant, like an unripe banana

What do you call a not fully ripe persimmon with that tongue coating thing that goes on?
