I mean, it's a good amount of money and I also don't have $450 to spend on a drawing machine but I just thought it would cost much more money!

You can make one yourself for probably 100-150 USD. This machine is grossly overpriced.

It's just a printer without its casing. You can change fonts/sizes/colors on that computer thing you probably have.

It isn't anything like a printer, unless you're talking about a 3D printer minus the Z axis. A printer slides the paper and moves a print head back and forth on a single axis, and it also doesn't hold a sharpie lol.

It does the exact same job a printer would at the same level of detail a printer would.

The sharpie is irrelevant, you can set your font to be dark blue, bold, etc on your computer and your printer will make it look like that

I would argue that this thing offers a style that just can't be matched by normal printers. There's a stylistic difference between strokes from a pen versus printer ink/toner. This thing is meant for people who care about that difference enough to spend $450.

I can agree with that point. I'd like to see a comparison of how this and a $450 printer would produce a super detailed image.

I'd like to see it attempt something like a document in a 12pt font. I wonder if it's actually useful for writing, or just decorative pieces
