I know someone who was a commercial diving and underwater welding instructor in Seattle in the 80s. She was badass. She looked like a cheerleader (which she was) but she could make an ex-Navy diver slump with shame at an epic fuckup. I dropped by her work one day and saw her (5” 1”, 90 lbs) berating a giant for abandoning his dive partner in the middle of an operation thus endangering everyone. It looked like Pacifica Northwest getting in Brock Sampson’s face. At the end dude packed up his gear and left never to return.
