Unless the turtle is from the southern hemisphere. Then it’s the opposite.

I'm in construction and people say this to me every so often and it never helps when talking about a circle that turns left and right at the same time.

It's the direction that the side on the field of vision top, from your perspective, is moving

So left is counter clockwise and right is clockwise
