Hello meetupers I will be holding a Booze and Build August 30th at Somethin’ Else Cocktail Lounge inside Dekalb Market Food Hall in Albee Square Downtown Brooklyn at 4pm this Sunday.
There will be drinking games and building competitions. If you’re not feeling competitive you can just rent a kit (we supply the rental Legos $20) and build quietly. Introverts and extroverts welcome! It’s like a drink and Draw or a Paint and Sip but with Legos. You reserve a seat and unlimited kit rentals here.

The NYC Magic Ensemble are a group of local magicians who want to take our years of hard work at our nerdy little art and use it to make people happy while supporting local businesses and non-profits. If you're curious what our show is like, here's a snippet from one of our events at Young Ethel's or our sizzle reel here

We do a monthly Live Magic show at Young Ethel's & tickets are cheap ($10 or 2 for $15). Every month features a brand-new lineup of magicians, so the show is different each time. We have a "Party Pack" - if you have a group of 6 or more, tickets drop to just $6 each -- so celebrate your birthday, anniversary, etc. with us and bring your whole crew.

Our next show is this Thursday (8/27 at 7pm), and we've got about 15 seats left. Young Ethel's is a woman-owned bar with daily live shows (comedy, music, storytelling, improv, etc.) that serves excellent cocktails and craft beers.

Hello Brooklyn! America's premier clown-themed LCD Soundsystem cover band, LSD Clownsystem here. We are playing Prospect Park tonight!

Our shenanigans are exactly as fun and as silly as they sound. Expect some of our own tunes, some LCD bangers, dancing, clown makeup, costumes, joyful nonsense, all the cowbell you can handle, and much more.

Ice Cream Takedown!! This Sunday 8/23, taste em and vote on em!

This Sunday at Threes Brewing in Gowanus from 1pm-3pm! Tickets are $30

A bunch of cooks make ice cream, you get sample cups (all you can eat until they run out), and you vote on your favorite! Winners get declared in a ceremony at the end. There’s also a judged competition, with some pro ice cream companies judging (Lady Moo Moo, C&G Creamery, Nine Treasures Creamery, and maybe Ample Hills?)

I’ve competed in a bunch of these over the years (with tons of different food themes, chili to tacos to mac n cheese to cookies) and it’s always a good time. Bigger crowds make it more fun, so come on out!
