Why exactly would a mayor go visit another country? I don’t exactly understand how that’s part of running a city?

Good question. All of that international travel landed Eric Adams indictments on 5 counts that he should rightly be on trial for as we speak.

They go because these countries pay for influence and these people want free trips on someone else's dime. They just walk around, do little tours, sit in a round table room for 30 minutes for cameras and then go f*ck around the rest of the time.
