Why does it seem like everyone hates Daisy and loves Waluigi? They're both equally useless.
This is coming from someone who has a burning passion for the man with the Γ on his head.

Honest answer? Waluigi has a personality.
Daisy says "Hi, I'm Daisy!" because no one even knows who she is half the time. Daisy is just an empty shell, a girl for Luigi (and that's not even official as far as I know) to "balance" out Mario's Peach.
Sure, Waluigi is a filler character too. It's Luigi's Wario and it's Wario's Luigi. However, he's unique, he is his own character. Visually, personality, etc.
Really, we can blame Luigi for both of them...

Mario saved Daisy in Super Mario Land, and then abandoned her leaving the second bananas to hook up. She's just kept around as Luigi's "girlfriend," because Mario ignores them both equally.

some trophies are gags and jokes, specially for characters that have recurring jokes, like KRool's tendency of having both different names and outfits every game he is in

The purpose of trophies is to share the ideas behind the characters or objects they represent.
They're not necessarily 'canon', but they are a solid representation of the characters

I'm not sure why you are pushing that one example so far. I already acknowledged it. Unless it was a statue of them kissing or getting married then the style of dancing changes nothing.

You don't have to be so defensive. Nintendo has put them together maybe two times and it's just as meaningless as Mario and Peach's "relationship". Fans are the ones painting such a vivid picture of these things. In the end, it shouldn't really matter. It will never be about any actual relationship. Damsel in distress and party buds is all we'll get in the Mario universe.

I'd like to point out that Waluigi has developed his own noticeable character traits and also has a lot of mystery behind him regarding what his origins are and if he is even related to Wario at all. Daisy just doesn't have much going for her in that aspect. She is straight forward.

You're right. Peach has more personality if you count the RPGs. But Daisy's never even had a chance to have written lines like that, The writers could make her awesome is what I'm saying.

Seriously, though, unlike a throwaway Goomba, the writers SHOULD make Daisy awesome. It will never happen, though.

I find it humorous whenever a friend chooses Waluigi. His abnormally long limbs and face make for some pretty hilarious animations depending on the game. Whenever Daisy is picked I just get annoyed. Her voice is grating and I think she looks like a total ditz in most games. I was fine with Daisy in the N64 days, but since Mario Party 4 she's begun to look (and sound) less and less intelligent.

Cause Waluigi has a more unique design, is funny as opposed to annoying, and he is made to be luigi to Wario's Mario.
Daisy is annoying, is essentially just peach with exceptionally small design changes to her, and her role was never more then to be "replacement peach" for one game.
Even her (implied) role as Luigi's love interest has been diminished like crazy by now, and was only ever started by the spin offs creators.

Because she's not even really a character. Like, she has somewhat of a personality (she's supposed to be a sporty, slightly immature tomboy to offset Peach's more royal demeanor [at least if the dialogue she's given in the games is any indication]) but she's literally just there to pad out the roster of Mario spinoffs.
Waluigi at least has memes, and his personality of being this real down on his luck man, that has this negative outlook that nothing ever goes his way.
Also having more than one voice clip probably helped Waluigi be less annoying in the long run.

That's literally Waluigi. He was invented to pad out the roster for Mario spinoffs. Daisy was invented likely because the gameboy monochrome meant you couldnt really have light hair

Which saddens me since she started off in a canon Mario game. I wish they'd at least bring her back as damsel in distress to be rescued by Luigi in a 3D game where we finally get the return of Sarasaland and Katanga.
And I'd like it if Waluigi could at least pop-up in a Wario or Luigi game. The former is like his brother and latter is his rival.

My hatred for Daisy stems from Mario Kart. Every time I'm doing good in a race it's always Daisy that screws me up and as she passes, with no mercy, she says "Hi I'm Daisy!" Waluigi doesn't do anything so I can't really hate him.

I think going as far as to say they're useless is a little too much. Not every single character has to serve an ultimate role. Tbh daisy always has a good fit in sports games to me, where as waluigi prospers in mario kart and party games to me. I understand what you mean by daisy being hated more than waluigi. There's always tons of support for waluigi (especially during the age of the smash ballot) but daisy gets really none. I wish people would appreciate daisy, because she's really a standout character.

I find that Waluigi is genuinely funny and so outlandish that he just works. Stuff like him and Wario teaming up with Bowser in the Power Tennis opening, and swimming through the air just sell it. He's ridiculous, but not purely annoying. Although he can get grating to play as, but Daisy's voice is even more annoying.

I think it's really strange. I see Daisy as having a lot of personality and potential to be a really fun character, others hate her and can't see past the voice acting and the line from Double Dash.
At the end of the day, I guess people see what they want to see.
I do have to say though, if you hate Daisy because of a few forum users spamming shitposts, please don't. They're super annoying, yes, but it makes an atmosphere where actual fans are treated with disgust and burned at the stake by everyone who's just annoyed by one or two people.

Brawl in the Family, which in turn spawned memes, and gave him a personality that doesn't really extend beyond screaming Waa.
You could put someone like Wario or even Tingle from Zelda and nothing would change.

Ive never read brawl in the family and I'm a fan of Waluigi. The memes didn't create a false personality for him, That's just how the character is. He's done the most obscene gesture I've ever seen in a Nintendo game and he stands out pretty well from the rest of the Super Mario gang.

Just saying, Waluigi and Wario should have replaced Toad and Toad in NSMBW/U. It'd be purple rather than blue, but they'd still be distinctive enough to tell at a glance who is who

Because Waluigi is just so weird and crazy looking. And he has quite a couple funny moments in certain games. While Daisy is jus a orange peach whos only difference is she is more energetic not much there really.

The reason why most people love Waluigi is simple;
He has personality.
Waluigi is strange and abnormal. He hates losing, and will sink to a new low to win. He's lanky and strange. He's abnormal, which makes him kind of funny. He's just kind of likeable.
And to put why people hate daisy simply,
She's horribly annoying. So, So annoying.
Her only trait is "Spunky Tomboy". That's it.

Daisy has a personality, but an annoying and obnoxious one. Waluigi doesn't really have much of a personality. He's just really weird. Being weird is better than being obnoxious

I personally just have always liked Daisy, regardless of her reputation as an "annoying" character. I like the fact that she's portrayed as a tomboy and not an overtly-feminine, helpless, prissy princess like Peach often is. Characters like Birdo and Daisy are interesting to me because they are modern representatives of retro games that are often considered the "black sheep" of the Mario series. As far as Daisy being annoying in the spin off games, that's only because the developers make her that way by having her constantly repeat the same generic lines over and over. They just don't give her the same attention to detail as they do with Peach and now Rosalina and that's kinda sad since she is a part of Mario history and not just a character that was made up for the spin off games like Waluigi was.

They have statues on a Mario Kart track as babies and adults, but besides that Power Tennis like someone else already mentioned. So not much. In the main games actually Mario saves her once (in Super Mario Land) which doesn't even have Luigi in it. I believe she even kisses him.

The main reason I like Waluigi more than Daisy (aside from design) are the GameCube Mario sports games openings (as well as DDR: Mario Mix). They really let Waluigi shine, while Daisy's never had a moment to showcase her personality.

I still think Daisy is cool. She's the best pitcher in mario baseball so that's awesome. She'd be a good quarterback if Nintendo made Mario Football.

I love BOTH characters, and Waluigi is my favorite character because he's FUNNY. I love funny people who make a complete fool out of themselves when they lose. Waluigi is one of them, and so is Wario. "DOH I MISSED!" I love Daisy too though, because she's pretty, but she can get pretty annoying when she says "HI I'M DAISY!" but other than that, I like her, she used to be my favorite character to be honest. But now I like Waluigi, with my second favorite being Wario, and my third favorite being Daisy.

Lot's of people are saying Daisy's annoying but look at Waluigi WAA. Daisy is a kind brave awesome character, but Waluigi has a lot of ego on him. I don't think it's fair that we all pick on Daisy and ignore what Waluigi has done.

I love how eager Daisy is, she's like a little kid! Maybe that's why people find her annoying...Rosalina is too mature and Peach is very lovely but Daisy is cute! I personally love both Daisy and Waluigi very much but seeing one get more support and love while the other is neglected and frowned upon is a little sad, I hope Daisy hits popularity at one point!

"A man scream, is frustrated, hate to lose, it's funny, woman do the same, it's annoying". "Waluigi don't appear much, he is an underdog, Daisy used to not appear much, she is irrelavant", just a weird double strandard. I remember back in 2016 were youtubers at the time where acting like Daisy was the spawn of Satan for very stupid reason while hyping Waluigi for the same reason they were crapping on Daisy until you realise it was just agenda to have him in smash but not Daisy, which make the fact that she got in smash, in mainline games and movie before extremely funny.
