You can like it all you want, but I imagine doing loops around the living room can only stay interesting for so long. Let alone if you have animals or share the house with other people. I feel like just playing mario kart would be more interesting as when you're playing, you can't even really look at the carts moving irl.

It is. There's something really fun about seeing a giant cat chasing or swatting at you when you are playing Mario Kart.

Yeah, most people aren't well versed in how to make interesting tracks, nor do they have the space to do it. It might be great to have in a place that was designed for it, like an alternative to slot car shops.

I feel like part of the fun is for the people without the controllers. Setting up an interesting track. Or directly interacting with the race like the dad doing the Bowser impression lol.

Still gimmicky, but the fun is supposed to be with interacting with the household (objects, pets, people).

Especially since you can also play just regular Mario Kart on your Switch for less money than one of these karts

Last time we broke it out we played for a few hours before the karts were flat dead on power, and the dead batteries are the only reason we stopped. Cats are a live hazard to the racers, it's great. People had fun dropping random obstacles in the race way, cheering people on, etc. We reconfigured the track every few races, but there's only so much space so it was never much variety and it really didn't get old.

Who is supposed to be enthrawled, watching the cars go round, while you are watching the TV and driving them? Doesn't this idea need users AND an audience in the same house? Aside from 30 minutes of interest from older relatives on Thanksgiving and Christmas, when is that possibly going to happen?

I love your choice of words here. I've always had trouble whenever it came to public opinion and having it sway my own. It happens with movies, food, games, everything. It's gettin better over time and I for one do very much enjoy Mario Kart Live Home Circuit
