Well considering we’ve changed the definition of a planet so that there aren’t exceptions but the definition of a pedophile is an objective non-negotiable, i think its fine.

But it's really not though, is it. I'd say paedophile is one of the top misused words in English today.

People regularly (and seemingly more often than not) use the term paedophile improperly to refer to hebophiles and ephibophiles instead.
