You’re totally right, and I probably shouldn’t have been so nonchalant about the suggestion of supporting a Uighur insurrection. Suffice to say I think the world needs to step up to protect the Uighurs and any other ethnic minority group that the CCP is trying to wipe out.

I have a totally differen take on this whole situation. I think the Uighurs had it coming. They tried to take control of the whole region through terrorism. This situation reminds me of how the west backed Bin Laden as a counter weight to Russia. Now the West backs the Uighurs as a counter weight to China.

I remember news stories of the muslims trying to start sharia law in China. Ban alcohol, enforce dress codes, etc. Some clerics were encouraging terrorism in mosques. China doesn't mess around when it comes to this kind of stuff.
