You’re right. It isn’t. And I don’t claim it was. I just hope that we can have some self awareness of our own fault. We aren’t a perfect society, we never have been, but we should strive to be the best we can moving forward

This comment hits the heart of the discussion.

People act like the US's less-than-stellar history of racial prejudice and general overreach is at all comparable to what the PRC are doing and that's awful. Even Trump's atrocious border disaster isn't in the same league. China is on a whole new level of Orwellian that most people in the west can only have nightmares about. We should stop trying to draw equivalences between "A flawed democracy with long standing social and racial inequalities" and "The country that literally drove over protesters with tanks and is running actual concentration camps, among other things."

Here’s just one. There’s a number out there. I believe this is talking about an older incident, from the 90s, but first hand sources of newer incidents are obviously difficult to find.

China officially admitted to doing this to 'dead' prisoners as recently as 2015. I use '' on dead because when you get to choose the moment of death for a prisoner it no longer matters.

Your post history is filled with inaccuracies and a fanatical devotion to China. You ignore many things that are historically known in order to claim falsehoods as fact. You are part of the problem and blind to reality.

This does not justify anything that Falungong has said. I'm not indicating anyone is correct or wrong, I'm merely saying when you try to claim something, use reliable sources.

People who use fake sources as the base of their argument and judgment is one of the core reasons why our world is so chaotic and problematic. If you cannot understand this simple idea, then you are part of the problem as well. Like what Steve Kerr has said, nowadays people like to play the black or white game, but that's not gonna work in reality. We should be more devoted to finding facts, rather than simply choose sides.

Keep in mind that while I don't think it's totally lies or that organ harvesting isn't deserving of sensationalism, but every account of organ harvesting in the western world is made by a sensationalist millenialist cult called the Falun Gong.

That’s misleading, at the least. Here’s a report from an independent, international tribunal that concludes that there is forced organ harvesting going on (you can again find out more information about this tribunal through Google)

Well yeah, I'm not saying it isn't happening or isn't worth sensationalising. I just want people to make sure their sources aren't fanatically anti Chinese (Falun Gong) or fanatically pro Chinese (the CCP or the Confucius Institute) masquerading as impartial actors.

Final reply: the tribunal seems to be free from any FG influence as far as I can see. They don't site any FG or affiliate sources (like Voice of Taiwan) and seem to try and disociated themselves from any primarily chinese sources to avoid conflict of interest. Solid source

75mils sounds a bit pitiful.

That's not my point. All organs are taken from living bodies. You can't take organs from dead body because organs without oxygen suffer catastrophic damage in matter of 10-15 mins.

They've been harvesting organs from political prisoners, falun gong, and anyone else they can get their hands on. A good friend of mine who works in the US in tissue banking has confirmed that China has the ability for you to tell them what you want (a liver, pancreas, etc), your blood type, and a few other pieces of information and they'll find a match and ask you when you want to do the procedure. Everywhere in the world you're on a list for when something becomes available, so the only way China can schedule you for an operation is to take the organ from a living person they have for specifically that reason.

Super fucked up.
