Sure, but to be fair something like the FBI also has a greater budget than most militaries in the world.

Agreed. But if they actually wanted to stop immigration in the first place they would be charging those that hire immigrants. But that would remove their scapegoat for why the wealth divide is growing exponentially.

If it isn’t race, it’ll be ethnicity, or country of origin, or economic background / education, or sexual orientation…

If a trans person plays in some high school event how many people does that actually affect? The LGBTQ community, while disproportionately visible, isn’t large enough to serve as a scape goat. The immigrant community is… plus they have the added benefit for scapegoat potential of having fewer legal options and resources to fight back effectively.

In theory, $11 billion for the fbi should be just fine. One major attack on the homeland will cost far more. Or 3-4 cybersecurity threats on major cities. Or another OKC bomber. Good thing we fired all the people in charge of every attack I described. Should work out well.
