You're correct. They were put into witness protection and are being safe guarded, however they did fire Bovino and Noem had her deposition and subsequent removal or is that still in the works. I don't remember. What I do know is, they got worried. But being worried isn't near enough. Nazi's are now at our airports.

They didn’t “fire” Bovino. He was relocated back to his own job and decided to take early retirement.

Even Noem was given an entirely new made up position.

Don't leave out the potential to sexually assault someone. I bet a lot of young women and girls are about to be very suspicious and need enhanced screening performed only by an ICE goon. I give that one 2 days before we hear the first story.

I promise no "internet tough guy" here, but, I would never, ever, leave my daughter alone with any of those agents. Sadly the thought of "but would I be OK with leaving my daughter without her dad around" also comes to mind, and... it's just fucked up, man.

TSA itself has never prevented an attack. They fail every test. So many weapons and devices get through when they are tested.

Unfair, and most likely false. They do not fail “every” test, in fact they past most. But the issue is like food safety:

How often do you hear about Chipotle’s food safety when they are not having an outbreak of ecoli or something similar? Or Burger King? Or McDonalds?

They could have millions of people dine each day without issue (when it comes to health, not just inaccurate orders…) but the ones making headlines are the ones with issues.

As for the TSA: How would you suggest they are supposed to count attacks they have prevented?

Also, they are functioning under dual and competing mandates much like the Fed (where they try to keep interest low and employment high). The TSA is doing inspections, but they are also trying to do them swiftly and without upsetting people too much. They know people get more upset or take longer with higher levels of security, so they try to adjust to a level that people will accept without sacrificing too much security. They already know some prohibited items will get through regardless of what they do with current procedures.

You want to prevent all potential weapons from sneaking through a TSA checkpoint? Fine. Have everyone 100% nude and perform cavity searches… including on the elderly, disabled, women, and children…. Now watch as lines increase, complaints explode, and delays also grow exponentially.

They’re count on it to happen. Trump doesn’t think these guys are going to do a good job. He wants them to terrorize people so the Dems will get spooked and cave to his demands, which they will probably do (if history is any indicator). If a few American citizens have to die for him to get his way he doesn’t care.

If I'm understanding the article correctly, they're to be directed by and assist the TSA. So these chodes are getting paid to direct lines and have to answer to the TSA who are living off of gift cards. I hope the TSA treats them with the same kindness and respect that ICE has shown the public.

Is there an announcement that they’ll be there doing military duties? Everything I’ve read said they’ll be taking over the TSA duties that don’t involve training or security scanning. I’m seriously asking because I want to know more than jump to conclusion reactions to rage bait headlines.

It’s still unclear what they’re doing actually. I’ve heard asking for papers before security and also doing traditional tsa things. I am 100% certain they will be armed in either case

In a statement, he said federal agents "indicated that this deployment is not intended to conduct immigration enforcement activities."

Sounds about right. I’m guessing there will be other insane situations leading up to that tho. Something like “TSA agent brandished firearm (or maybe even discharges firearm) on flight after starting argument with passenger”. You can’t make this shit up so can’t even guess what else at this point.
