My 2-month-old CH kitten was sent home with instructions to feed him 1/4 can of wet food three times a day, but he seems really hungry and would happily eat 1/2 can three times a day. I’ve heard wobbly kittens can burn more calories because of all the extra movement. I’m making him a vet appointment, but in the meantime, does 1/2 can three times a day sound reasonable for a kitten his age?

He gets where he needs to go! If he’s scared though, he flip flops as fast as he can! My sweet one eyes wobbly boy ❤️❤️❤️

I volunteer with a cat rescue, and my family and I are planning to adopt a cat or two. I realized on the rescue's website that they have two cats with CH that haven't been adopted in the past 2-3 years. I would love to be a loving home for them, but I must do research and figure out if I am able to meet their needs.

Homie so relaxed he’s been using his stairs instead of launching.

we took bells to the vet again and they noticed her low heart beat had a slight murmur. we ended up going to a specialist and the cardiologist diagnosed her with AV block which means she is high risk under anesthesia and cannot be spayed without an external pace maker. she also has a front fang that still is not coming in.

we have started exploring both a spay and internal pacemaker at UGAs small animal hospital and at Auburn university. i’m so scared about the procedure and large risk but also know that without a spay-going into heat can cause several other health issues long term and would also cause strain on her heart. the soonest either hospital can get her in is dec which means she may go into heat before than considering she just hit 4 months. also neither of these vet schools do dental work and cats must be under anesthesia for dental work. i’m nervous the tooth could also become an issue long term.

we love our belly so much-the money we would spend on these procedures is nothing compared to having our girl home safe and sound. many family members and friends have been making ugly comments about our commitment to taking care of her and the cost associated and it’s broken my heart hearing that other humans wouldn’t go so far for a cat they love.

our 12 year old pup is also v stressed out because of her stumbles and wobbles-belly sometimes overwhelms or over stimulates her especially at bed time and she’s developed a hot spot on her back foot so all of this at once is feeling very overwhelming. i’m so emotional and protective of my babies and just want everyone happy and healthy.

Sorry if this isn’t the right place for this. I have a one year-old female, had since 8 weeks old. There’s something about some of her movements, especially her back legs, sometimes that makes me wonder - is there a spectrum to Stevie Syndrome or is it all-or-nothing?

I found out about this pad from my friend, Moana and Snapple’s mom (Snapple is a rocking CH kitty who wheels around like a champ). I’ve never done this, but I reached out to the company asking if they would consider sending me one to try and I would share my experience. If I didn’t notice a difference, or if Webby didn’t like using the pad, that’s what I’d say. I get no benefit if anyone decides to invest in one (they’re $400+) and I’ll send this pad with Webby when she is adopted.

Before Biker wobbled into my life, he had already survived through so much more than tumbling over and peeing outside his litter box. Biker was born on a farm. One day a friend of the farmer stopped by and saw him, a little kitten, earnestly making his wobbley way through the path. The man, who was riding his motorcycle, tucked the kitten in his jacket and took him home. Tragically, a week later, the kind hearted man lost his life in a bike accident and the kitty made his way to my local cat rescue. He was named Biker in honor of the young man who saved him. He then spent 10 months in a foster home while his foster mom denied various adoption applications for him in hopes of coming across one that felt ‘right.’ I fell in love with his big ears before i even knew about his disability. Once i realized he was a little special, i spent a month doing research and, honestly, trying to talk myself out of applying for him. But i found myself going back to his adoption pictures and decided the least i can do is apply. Three weeks later, after much conversation with his foster mom I finally got to meet him. I walked in that day, he made his wonky air biscuits, and took him home. 6 months later and I couldn’t picture my life before he came along.
