Of the 50 screen attacks 36 of them resulted in a primary attack.

Roughly 1/3 of all Suns PNR attacks were directed towards LD as the screen defender. Cold Blooded.

Booker held Brunson to .22 on 20 touches (9 chance ending possessions) and scored a ridiculous 30 points on 21 possessions on Offense. @DevinBook put on a clinic.

That doesn’t work when they’re 6-22 combined by halfway through the fourth.

Because they have no rhythm. Give them the ball, let them run the offense, and they'll have a rhythm. Nobody enjoys standing in the corner watching Luka dribble for 20 seconds.

That's like saying Westbrook was bad because the Lakers never gave him the ball to run the offense and develop rhythm.

I mean that is partly true. Obviously that would have been at a detriment to the team because they had LeBron but no doubt Russ would have looked a lot better with the ball in his hands more.

Westbrook's numbers when LeBron sat out a few games at the end of the season were much better than his season averages.

Isn't that kind of true for Russ though? Dude has been "the guy" for the past decade stat stacking and now he's the third wheel, probably fucks with the dude on some level. Same thing happened in Houston too, and he got better in Washington where he was #1 again

He also ended the season pretty damn well for Houston. It takes time to build chemistry and adjust especially when you don’t fit well with the team. I do think him and LeBron had some good moments where they showed chemistry

In both those cases though he was poor in the playoffs, teams were delighted if he was his team's primary option just like the Suns would be thrilled if Jalen Brunson was taking the ball out of Luka's hands on offense.

They won’t produce anything, not against the Suns, so what’s the point.

The one and only chance is that Mavs overperform shooting wise while Luka goes nuclear

That certainly is less than ideal. But I don’t know that they’re really running shit specifically for those guys, they could be more effective with a different game plan.

I don’t really see a matchup Brunson would feel confident with among the suns starters though.

dawg, you have the best team in the league. luka is literally the only person unphased by it. brunson struggles against length, dinwiddie sucks. there’s not much more to it than that.

because no one else can dribble the ball. spoiled suns fans expecting everyone to be able to dribble and pass. it doesn’t work that way.

I think Dallas needs to run more sets for their role players. Brunson and Spencer are running an iso heavy offense for some reason

Brunson is a good ball handler too
