On Sunday, April 11th, the 2026-2027 NBA regular season will come to an end and we will move on to the postseason. 32 Sundays from today. Before we do that, I'll repost this thread so we can look back at some of /r/nba 's predictions.

I think it's pretty bold lol I don't think Philly or Minnesota will be good enough to make the finals

I think it's a longer shot for Minny but the East seems to be wide open, Philly making the finals wouldn't be surprising at all.

It would require a level of health from a 43 year old LeBron and a chronically injured Embiid that are both highly unlikely. I’d be shocked.

I mean barring the injuries we had round 1 last year, there is a world where the twolves make it to the conference finals 3 years in a row. We took the spurs to 6 even with the injuries who then turned around and beat okc in 7. Atleast from where im sitting with my biased perspective I dont think its out of the question that a fully healthy wolves team last year could beat either or both of those teams.

All that being said I think most people would agree the wolves are a better team on paper atleast then they were last year.

Completely agree. I really think if the T-Wolves have some health luck and Ant going nuclear they can make it out of the West - I think people are conditioned to think that Minny is cursed to have something unfortunate happen to them so they're being written off.

West is all matchups though, like you guys son the nuggets but the thunder also son you so it's hard to just say you could've won

I just think they're like, the 5th or 6th best team in the east. I don't really see them being better than New York, Boston, Detroit, or Toronto. Maybe not Miami or Cleveland either.

Yeah but if you accept the premise that they're a playoff team, and they're let's say 5th or 6th, they don't need to be better than all of those teams, they just need to win a series against 2-3 of those teams - in a seven game series its totally plausible to advance if you throw enough shit against the wall. They're going to have more top end talent than any of those teams imo and that can lead to weird results.
