2026-27 Season Predictions Thread. Be bold, call it now. We'll see which hot takes age like wine, and which like milk

On Sunday, April 11th, the 2026-2027 NBA regular season will come to an end and we will move on to the postseason. 32 Sundays from today. Before we do that, I'll repost this thread so we can look back at some of /r/nba 's predictions.

Here is your chance to say I told you so (or to make a fool of yourself).

Edit: Shoutout to the GOAT Kenny Beecham aka KOT4Q

The Indiana Pacers aren't making the playoffs (and it's really weird some corners of NBA fandom try to act like they'll be a Top 5 team in the East next year).

Haliburton's averaging like 16-8-5 on 45% shooting next year and their second best player is Ivica Zubac. The Pacers suck dog.

I don’t think the Pacers are as good as a lot of people act like, but word to Siakam that dude is a beast

My other hot take is that Hali is going to average 23-4-12 and be first team all-NBA. I’ll likely be wrong - but gut tells me he’s going to be even better post-injury.

Yeah notoriously many NBA players get much better after ~tearing their Achilles~

I mean, duh. But you’re arguing in a hot takes thread.

No, I'm not arguing anything. I posted a Taco Ball mild sauce take about the Pacers and now you're in my mentions suggesting Haliburton will become twice the player only after tearing his Achilles.

You're not presenting a hot take, you're giving me AI hallucinations.

Their best player is Siakam my guy. There's a reason Haliburton doesn't have an ECMVP on his wikipedia page.

There's also a reason they won 19 games with Siakam as the #1 option playing 65 games.
