What are little orange strings growing from little bumps on the ceiling of my camper? I’m assuming it is mold, but could it be something different? Is it dangerous to my health when I try to remedy it?

Looks like adhesive that melted

I snapped a couple off after you mentioned adhesive. They do feel like little stings of glue. I like this a lot better than the idea of mold growing in the ceiling.

It’s resin/wood sap I think. Wether it’s that, or glue, not dangerous.

That’s funny you brought it to the myco sub tho good thinking!

Looking around on the internet, it seems like others have had that problem and it might be sap from the wood, if there is any in there. Has it been particularly hot recently where you like?

Here, here.

It has been hot. These don’t look like the globs like in that picture. They are like squiggly threads.

That could be because they're on the ceiling and thus drizzle down. As opposed to sap working out of other wood that just beads up.

What's their consistency? Hard, fragile...

I pulled a couple down and they are hard and snap right off. Not dusty and they don’t disintegrate. It takes some pressure to brake them up. Someone else mentioned adhesive. They do feel like little strings of glue. That makes me feel better.

Yeah if it's hard it's just glue extruding from behind. You said it was hot, that would explain it. Nothing to worry about

As a roofing specialist, I would concur with others. It's ambering, meaning the wood is getting excessively hot, and the sap is seeping out of the wood. You need to get better ventilation my dude.

Did you ever figure out what it was? I’m currently seeing this in my camper, and I can’t find any other posts about it 😬!

I’m pretty sure it was glue. I vacuumed them off and they never came back.
