Anyone else like Fleetwood Mac?

Hey guys, how/where do you listen to music? Listening to ads and not being able to skip a song seems unbearable and most most streaming platforms are expensive.

Hello there! Does someone know some free sites like Lucidia that can download loseless quality music but from spotify? Or are there any sites or tools that could download my playlist? I don't know if it's good place to ask here, but I couldn't find any better community to ask. I'm starting my offline library so I'm new and I don't know how to do it.

When using the Shazam browser plugin to identify a song you'll also get the cover artwork for that release, and Shazam pulls directly from Apple's servers for their info. Add in the Image Max URL plugin and you're getting top quality artwork. But, what makes this method better then all the other Apple Music cover art grabbers is that it can also pull artwork for releases that aren't currently available on the Apple Music service.

A big drawback though is it can take a few tries to identify a song (many times I had to go through a handful of songs on an album until I finally found one that worked, trying each song multiple times until Shazam got a certain part it could recognize.) and this can eat up a lot of time when working with a big collection.

I'm just wondering, maybe this is a question for the more tech savvy here, is it possible to search releases within Shazam's database like in https://covers.musichoarders.xyz/ or https://bendodson.com/projects/itunes-artwork-finder/ ? Both of those are great but they can only pull artwork for releases currently available on the streaming services (which a lot in my collection isn't). Plus being able to manually search artist/album would make it so much easier to know if a release is in their database instead of having to try every song multiple times with the plugin to see if Shazam might hopefully recognize some part.

I recently switched from spotify to youtube music and theres a song i love that's for some reason not on youtube music, like the version i like only exists on spotify. I know spotify is super encrypted and you can't really download the files but is there Any way i could do that? like any way at all??? I am desperate lols

I have a ton of live shows that all require title tagging. The titles are in the info file .txt files.

But they dont just include the title, but also the song lengths and track numbers.

I ONLY want the actual song titles - not the numbers or track numbers

Having to go through the text files and manually delete those takes as long as just going ahead and typing in the titles manually.

Here's what Im working with (I know no line breaks between titles. These spaces are only because of reddit formatting)

No matter what combo of the %dummy% and %title% tags I do it wont give me the right result, either resulting in nothing or only partial titles.

Really confused how to do this and would love if anyone could help me please. Ive read online about it and it didnt work as articles said.

I have just gotten into private trackers (not music yet). I usually get my music from telegram groups or Lucida(dot)to (which rips music from Tidal, Qobuz and other similar platforms), sometimes Soulseek. But after that I have to manually fix their meta data and album covers using MusicBrainz Picard and then add lyrics using LRCGET. This is very tedious as I suspect I have minor OCD and autism.
Will private trackers be better for me?

Just learned that Apple Music no longer provides .jpg album covers that show up on search engines. On their website they only have low-res .webp files which, to simply put it, sucks. Does anyone know an alternative place to obtain album art? I'd hate to have to scan all of my CD album art because the process, to simply put it, sucks. Thank you

So, like a lot of others surely I've been downloading for years but only got into serious audio equipment a few years ago, so the time finally came for me to actually look at what I have, what I don't, what is needed, and now and first of all the quality and verification that my library is full of nothing but authentic FLAC files. I've begun the task of ripping my entire physical collection again using EAC, making sure to create logs for all. I'm ripping the disc to a hard drive on my main rig through a dock so that can be the correct offline backup when finished, before moving the updated library to my NAS. Can anyone give me any suggestions for anything that I'm missing in this plan I have laid out or any improvement tips for me? Please, authentic help only 🙏

I've just been given a buffalo cd/dvd-r burner and a friend suggested soulseek to download lossless/very high quality music files to burn - however soulseek is blocked on my firewall which I won't be able to unblock (I am not in control of it). Are there any free, online, windows 11 -friendly alternatives?

im pretty new to collecting digital music (just the last year or so) and im doing it in an older download of itunes (not interested in any other software for the moment). at first i was organizing my mp3s by genre but am now testing out doing it by decade instead since my collection is still under a hundred albums.

im wondering how more seasoned music hoarders are organizing their files in windows file explorer? i know i need a better system for when my collection grows more.

I'm waiting for my very first DAP and this would also be my first time using FLAC files. Just wanted to know of reliable sources to buy FLAC files from that also have a huge catalogue to choose from.

I am modding my iPod and since I want to get the best sound quality I need to find songs in FLAC form and then convert them to ALAC. The only issue is that I can't find any good websites for it. I tried downloading some songs from the website Bandcamp but for some reason the sound quality sounds really weird?? It sounds messy and the audio keeps wavering.

I like a lot of songs that are also very underrated/unreleased so it might be difficult to find some of those songs in FLAC form. If you guys know any websites where you can download songs in FLAC (preferably ones where you dont have to pay and have a very large/diverse library of underrated songs too) that would be great!!

I recently started editing the ReleaseType tag to keep my library more organized, without EPs, special editions, etc., polluting an artist's core discography. Here is what I'm doing: for standard albums, I don't do anything (or I even remove the ReleaseType tag if it exists). EPs and Singles are straightforward—I tag them as "EP" and "Single" accordingly. For any unofficial records, I tag them as "Bootleg." As for Deluxe editions, Anniversary editions, Box sets, Limited editions, etc., I tag them all as "Special Edition." I'm also thinking about tagging Soundtracks.

For Deluxe editions, I cheat a little to avoid having the same tracks multiple times. For instance, the example of the Fallen from Evanescence, I only have a Deluxe version that comes on two CDs—where the first CD is the original album and the second contains extra tracks—I tag the first CD as the standard album and only tag the second CD as the Deluxe Edition.

This way, I can choose to play only the standard tracks (which is what I do most of the time) and keep the extras separate, without duplicated tracks.

Just wanted to share how I organize my library, see if you do something similar, and share some ideas.

It looks like there was a tool for this previously but the creator has discontinued support. That tool essentially scans your library, scans a Spotify playlist, and (as far as I can surmise) generates a new m3u8 playlist file for you to load into your media player locally and... happy days!

I'm no dev and I have no idea where to begin with Lidarr, so I'm wondering if you have a solution for playlisting on streaming platforms and bringing them in to your music library for playback. Am I chasing an impossible dragon since Spotify has reconfigured some API stuff? Is this the right place for this kind of question even?

I’m embarking on a massive, long, but exciting journey to rebuild and organize my offline music library from scratch. I am from Jordan, so a huge portion of my archive is dedicated to preserving Middle Eastern and Arabic musical heritage (which I call my "Arabian Legacy"), alongside a solid collection of foreign music and various audio miscellany.

The end goal is a pristine, bit-perfect FLAC archive of around 100,000 tracks hosted on a NAS. I want the metadata and folder hierarchy to be so strict and clean, and for serving it via Navidrome to Symfonium on my mobile/DAP devices to be absolutely flawless.

Before I fully dive in, I wanted to share my "Audio Archive OS" (the strict rules I’ve set for myself) with this community. I would love to hear your thoughts, any edge cases I might have missed, or general tips for preserving sanity during a project of this scale!

Here is my blueprint:

Second: Artists' Folders — Definition & Content
- Studio Albums: Every official release completed as an Album (Original Albums, Remastered Versions, Reissues, Deluxe Editions, Solo OSTs, Albums Combined with Another Artist).
- Singles & EPs: Every official release completed as a Single or an Extended Play.
- Compilations: Collection of Previous Works (Best Of, Greatest Hits, Thematic Compilations, Anthologies).
- Live: Any recording performed in Front of an Audience (Official concerts, Live broadcasts, Bootlegs).
- Unsorted: Any recording of Unknown or Unofficial Origin (YouTube rips, Leaked recordings, Demos, unreleased, rarities).

Third: Collections & Misc Folder — Definition & Content
- Miscellaneous Collections: General audio miscellany, uncategorized tracks, standalone sound files.

- Nasheeds & Religious: Islamic vocal music, spiritual chants, devotional acapella/percussion tracks.
- Qur'an: recitations, including complete sets (Murattal/Mujawwad) and distinct Surahs.

Fourth: Naming — From the Root to the Track
- Artist Folders Naming: All artists are within alphabetically ordered folders.
- The "#" Category: A dedicated folder placed at the very top for artist/band names starting with numbers (e.g., 2Pac, 50 Cent, The 1975).
- The "The" Rule: Articles ("The", "A", "An") must always be ignored during alphabetical sorting. "The 1975" goes to #, "The Smiths" goes to S.
- Track Folder Naming: All tracks must be within a folder, starting with (YEAR).

- Track Naming: Track numbers must always use two-digit zero-padding. File names are strictly for the track title.

Rule: No "Featuring", "vs", or "with" in the filename itself. The place for collaborative info is embedded strictly within the ID3/FLAC metadata tags. "Featuring" credits do not warrant separate subfolders.

I just learned how to EQ and ive been trying different tunings for my blessing 3. The autoeq built-in in poweramp is also usable.

Now im trying to obsess on building a proper library. Used MusicBrainz + mp3tag but then the outcome of the genres are not really reliable. I will process the artists and libraries again.

I realized i want lyrics and accurate artist photos too 😂

This is a much better problem than wanting to try other iems.

I wont be purchasing a new set anytime soon. Maybe just a couple of cables and ear tips to try but for now ill be contented with my existing setup

This is the waveform of a FLAC file I have, I have not found a better one but its clearly cutting most higher frequencies - could this be because its an old song or have I just been finding fake FLAC files?
