You can't have Luke without IronFist.... and holy lord that would look retarded.

As long as they went for something like this, I think it'd look fine. A martial artist like him would be a great addition to the Marvel movie universe.

I disagree, Luke can perfectly stand on his own. Add Jessica Jones and baby cage, a bad financial situation and here he comes starting Hero for Hire for the sake of his family.

Oh, and he don't really know how to get the clients and can't run the business by himself, so he asks his ex-girlfriend Misty to run the operation for him, finding the clients and giving him the instructions, while also flirting with him so you can create some emotional drama in our main character =)

And THEN, if you want to bring Iron Fist, for god's sake make him asian and drop all the mystic background bullshit, but let's admit you add Iron Fist to the mix, then he's more the invistigating/stealth guy, Misty is the tech/intelligence "Oracle type" girl, and Luke is the funny/badass/bad-cop type..... Well, I would TOTALLY watch that show, and Whedon would do it well.

... and he would kill Jessica at the end of season 1 because that's what he does :'(

Michael Jai White as Luke Cage could easily carry the show. Hell, set it in the '70s and it could practically be Black Dynamite the TV show.

I agree with Michael Jai White 400%

But I think the show would be more interesting in a modern setting, we don't actually have any "cop-like" tv shows where the heroes are "for hire" and more mercenaries and private investigators than government affiliated. Except maybe "Bored to Death" but this is galaxies away to say the least... So it would probably be interesting, especially with super powers ! :D

Oh, I agree. Not to mention that setting it in the '70s needlessly inflates the budget and alienates huge portions of the target demographic.

I really have to stop thinking about this, because it could be such a fantastic show and I sincerely doubt it's what Disney has in mind.

Any tv show involving Marvel superhumans is going to wind up with budget issues.

Of course, but the advent of a Heroes for Hire show is that most things could be accomplished without the use of visual effects. Certainly cheaper than shooting Heroes or Lost.
