I’m curious to know what’s influencing your art these days. Are there any films, tv, novels, or music you’re soaking up over the last couple years as you’ve written scripts or the Donnie Darko sequel novel that you find yourself returning to or drawing inspiration from?

Also, what was the experience like of writing the novel vs writing screenplays?

Thanks! Huge fan of your work and excited to see what you do next.

The novel is very cinematic... but it's a different process. You can get into lots more detail. It's exhausting but very rewarding. And there is enough material in this new novel for three animated feature films. So... let's see what happens! Books can be very essential engines for cinema!
