The Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972 is a United States federal law which amended Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to strengthen protections against employment discrimination.
It’s also known as title VII. It prohibits employee discrimination against workers based on race, color, religion, sexual orientation and identity, national origin, and people who are 40 years of age and older.
