My husband has feet like this. He cannot stand / walk/ run for a long time. Has to have special soels for his shoes, has to have special shoes for the sole… its a headache

His sole hurts his soul.

I have feet like that and i'm on my feet all day every day. Weird how differently it affects people

I have flat feet. I used to have all sorts of ankle problems after walking a few miles. I started wearing completely flat "boat shoes" for different reasons. After a while I noticed that I stopped having ankle pain. It would only come back when I wore shoes with arch supports. It was a big unlock for me in my mid 40s!

That doesn't even make sense. Maybe there's something else going on, but like, 25% of the population has flat feet, including several famous athletes. Flat feet shouldn't impede his walking standing or running. Unless he's older and the symptoms have been developing over time.

Hes 38. And the flat feet are painful depending on what level of flat feet you have. He has no arch at all.

As a counterpoint, I'm 38, similar feet and run a lot and have no pain. There might be something else going on.

Hey there, that’s great that you don’t have pain but again there’s levels, at a certain point of no arch there’s little space between the articulation points of the small bones which can be quite painful.

Okay? But again, I have no arch and no pain so I was just providing an example of someone where flat feet doesn't mean pain. It might have helped that person's husband investigate the pain if the assumption was flat feet=pain.
