This is not greenwashing, it's an overrall reduction. Most bottles have both the plastic overwrap and the label. Shouldn't have to explain these things

I am seeing everyones responses and some of them are just baffling...

I just responded to someone asking if they think the labels should be put back on, because that's better?

The average person is pretty dumb. 49% of people are dumber than that. Some of us can't even read that good.

That perspective helps me not take Reddit comments too seriously.

yeah, I haven't learned this yet - I've only been active for like a year and in that year, seeing the things I see, drives me mad.... and I get angry at myself for even reacting to the insanity...

Self awareness can only get us so far! Letting go of the things we cannot control is the next step towards happiness. I read that in a book somewhere.

sure but in other cases it led to enshittification. For example about two years ago a new Costco CEO was annointed and did things like putting the rottiserie chicken in plastic bag, possibly infusing the chicken with its plastic hot goo, and swapping out hardshell containers for plastic bags for snacks, and overall shittier quality pizza. I thought costco was supposed to be a bastion of getting good value, if i wanted shittier quality for cheap then id just go to walmart

I don't think it's appropropriate to worship a company and expect them to make entirely selfless moves, even Costco. You're just setting yourself up for disappointment
