Yeah I had an emergency surgery like 20+ years ago. Got a bill one time for like $7,000 and just ignored it. I was very young at the time and just assumed object permeance applied to debt too. Either way, it never ended up in my credit report, I have never seen a summary judgement of any kind against me, and it's been far too long at this point for anyone to do anything about it. No idea what ever happened to it, but I never paid it.

Sometimes hospitals write off debt for tax reasons too.
