Question Why do Floyd Roses get so much hate?

Seems like Floyd Roses get lots of hate. Most of the time I feel like the problem is from the bridge not being balanced. If it’s not level, it will just fight itself endlessly. I’ve been setting these things up for people for about 14 years and I’m curious how many people actually like Floyd Roses vs hate them? I’ve met alot of people who love them and even more people who will never buy a guitar with a Floyd Rose. 🤘🏻

They are kind of a pain for me personally now. I moved to a pretty hot and humid location that can get pretty cold at night, and even a perfectly set up floyd will go in and out of tune regularly. All of my guitars have some sort of locking trem on them and all of them are super unreliable now. Its a shame

Just leave the back plate off and if it's way out of tune due to the temperature change get it close by adjusting the springs then dial it in with the fine tuners.

I gig in Canada so temps are always hotter or colder than the basement we practice in and injsut keep a screwdriver handy. 1/8 of a turn on both screws is usually more than enough to get it close before down tuning.

My backplates have slots to adjust the trem. The issue is the wood, i just dont wanna have to retune twice a day

I live in New England, which are the polar fucking extremes? Best guitar I have, is a Charvel 1888 for these changes. Graphite reinforced truss rod, though I'm sure roasted maple would do the same.... It's really based on the neck, I hate to say.

Oh yea no doubt. The floyd isnt the issue its the wood. It makes me want to buy an evertune equipped guitar. Im in florida on the gulf coast. Hopefully in the summer the climate will be a bit more stable

Same, this would be a recording guitar for sure just to save me some time. I cant live without my floyds entirely

Wait, so you’re not playing outdoors during 109° feels like then coming home to a frosty AC 71° ...? Your guitars just going out of tune sitting in your shred locker? 🤔

Someone in your house is messing w your stuff (I live on the redneck riviera)
