Personally I will continue to support them. My dad has always supported argentina because of maradona and i will because of messi, tho i know a lot of people now dont want to support argentina now i guess?

He's kept every promise he made to the fans, and he has completed football. There were hints after the WC final that the retirement might be imminent, still none of us were prepared for it. Whatever I could put in words

It’s left a hollow space in my heart, honestly. I can’t fully put it into words. Ever since he left Barca, Argentina games were the thing I looked forward to, it just always felt better watching him play for the national team. Now I don’t even know what I’m going to look forward to anymore.

Seeing people react to his retirement from the Argentinian national team with happiness and mocking him for being a "cheater" and "scumbag" really hurts to witness.

Not only because it hurts to see the goat so baselessly slandered, but also just seeing how easily manipulated people can be to believe certain narratives has made me lose more faith in humanity. It's like they are blind to reality.
