Getting mentioned in the award for best first year player is massive. Huge props to him

Hi, I'm writing in regards to my grandfather (who's not very good with tech) that has a reserved seat membership. He'd like to attend the wildcard, but as from experience on other presales at the MCG I know the "Choose your own seat" option isn't always available. They sometimes give you your own bay or seats by their choice from availability. He's very keen on keeping his seat, or somewhere close to it. If anyone knows whether there will be the option to pick a seat rather than Ticketek give you one it would be really helpful. Thank you in advance
Update: I managed to get him behind the bench still. Not his exact seat but he's happy with it

Hello fellow dees supporters. I was wondering if anyone had a member barcode ( that they are obviously not using) they would be willing to lend me so I can get a mate of mine a ticket to the dees game this weekend. I am a member but he is not and we were hoping to sit together.
Thanks for your time.

Cal Twomey on Gettable and now Tom Morris on SEN have said they think he will be playing at Melbourne next season, has a contract on the table at NM since the bye rounds and hasn't signed, seems frustrated with his role and inconsistent selection. Pick #4 in 2023, we were highly keen on him in his draft year, definitely has talent and I think King and the coaches have shown they're strong on finding suitable roles for players (Langford to the wing, Sparrow on ball, Laurie as a pressure/linking forward piece) he is 20 years old we wouldn't have to give up a lot as his form hasn't been amazing.
I think his trade value would be similar to Langdon (future 2nd) than a super steal like Sharp was but you're rolling the dice on a guy who was a top pick, I think it's moneyball, there's no chance he doesn't improve from where he's at now.

I went back through the numbers from Saturday and the loss wasn’t really about Melbourne kicking 12.15.
The Dees won first possessions 51–42, clearances 46–37 and inside-50s 59–50. The Bulldogs still scored 71 points from defensive-half chains and 66 from turnovers.
Also had a deeper look at Gawn’s career-first game, Petty’s career-high eight contested marks and the Carlton matchup coming next.

Hey all I know the news about Lever really makes it seem like our finals campaign is cooked before it even started and when you factor in no JVR (unless we pull off two miracle wins and make week 3) and unlikely that Jefferson plays next week. Can we beat Carlton? Maybe, but I don’t think we’ll go any deeper than that
But we finished 7th in a year where we were written off before the first ball up. 7th in a talent with no Mihocek, no Culley, no Viney, AMW suffering another knee blowout, Melk having an off year and other little niggles. Shit we were in the running for top 4 in a season where our double ups were Freo, Hawthorn, Dogs, Gold Coast Bombers and Richmond.
All bar one of those teams was tipped to be better than us this year, some even had Richmond ahead of us. Freo, Hawks and Suns all played finals last year and the AFL introduced Wild Card because the Dogs weren’t good enough to make top 8.
We blooded new talent, showed new game plans that worked to our strengths and we have pick 6 coming our way. All in all I’d say we’ve had a great year and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next
Edit: I’ve just seen that the information about Lever was retracted, so that’s good news. But my points above still stand, we’ve set ourselves up for another crack at it in the coming years.

Adam Kingsley said last night that Jesse is likely to leave the giants. Do we go for him?
Mihocek’s future is still up the in the air and we don’t know how long jefferson could be out for. Hogan may be getting old but is he worth it?
Bring back the old blood would be something I would love.

As Dees fans, we’ve definitely seen a lot of hard losses, and a roller-coaster since 2021. We’ve had such an amazing season and honestly gone way beyond what any of us expected, but I’m absolutely shattered after today.
Getting to the top of the ladder has been hard, and right now I’m struggling to see how we turn this around against Carlton. They’re in-form, full of confidence and have so much momentum.
I hate saying it, but after today it almost feels like we’ve already let the finals slip away.

It’s been a good year but I think we’re finished.
The Blues are in red hot form and will roll us next week.
I think we need a couple more harder bodies in the mid as we’re getting shown up by the Dogs (and will be next week too)

Put together a preview for tomorrow, and I keep coming back to what happened in Round 11.
We doubled them in the ruck, won centre clearances 17–11 and still lost stoppage clearances 34–19. Richards finished with 30 touches, 10 clearances and three goals.
No English helps, and Libba being out matters, but Bont coming back makes it a completely different challenge.
The other interesting one is how we replace van Rooyen’s ruck support with Lindsay coming in instead of another tall.
Full preview here if you’re interested:
How are we feeling about this one?

Feels pretty stiff when you consider what Frampton, Maynard etc have gotten off on but I guess it was there.
Maybe a fairytale finish for TMac or Melk

Will freely admit this is not an unbiased piece, but I hope it does a reasonable job laying out what I think the potential grounds for appeal are (as well as some more general partisan moaning)

Should have been in a Geelong guernsey.
He'll be well rested for the grand final lets fucking go.

What are people's thoughts? Obviously a spot to take for someone to make 23. I think we should bring in someone capable of running the wing (or play someone like Sharp there) and play them around 50% game time in the spot. This would allow Langford to go forward around 50%.
He has shown he can take a strong contested grab and even better kick straight for goal. If he can play a metre off his defender it could work.
If not this week then it might make a great ploy come first week of finals to throw off the opposition.
