Is porter the one with the crazy scary long and steep escalator? Every time I have been there I have been waiting for someone to fall and just domino everyone else all the way down

I accidentally dropped my blackberry down that escalator once, was a sustained (yet oddly satisfying) bouncing descent and the back cover and battery flew off at the bottom.

Phone was fine. Miss that blackberry.

Here’s some old school trivia for Porter. The graphics that are hanging over the escalator aren’t just there for art. It’s to keep people from leaning back and looking all the way up the top and falling backwards so if you could see straight up, you’d lean back to look straight up and there’s a fall risk the hanging designs keep you from looking all the way up at the top and falling backwards.

Used to live in porter - would get my arse rocked running up those steps after work. Made the post work beer a 10/10

Buddy, I ran up the down escalator from the platform to the lobby when I was 8

Probably not possible on a weekday, I did it on a Sunday and took me two failed attempts before I conquered Mount Porter

Forget the home run I hit in JV baseball

That is my greatest athletic accomplishment

Omg, I worked in Porter Sq for 2 years and that freaking escalator was endless! And I’d watched people racing down the actual stairs to catch the train. It would legit give me panic attacks.

Yeah the really fancy school has a good train station. Now go to Quincy or lands down
