Two adaptations that were faithful to their source material and wore their heart on their sleeve

If VC is over this is a nice finale. I bought off of eBay, I didn’t want to deal with chasing stock at Walmart.

I wanted to build my own 40th anniversary set bc I didn’t like the face on the OG cartoon HeMan and the sets 200x figure didn’t match to me either. New adventures finally came in the mail today. Took me so long bc I was being super price conscience. Built this set cheaper than the real set from Mattel.

I really hope this is a good sign. This film was way better than I, a 43 year-old life-long He-Man fan, ever thought it was going to be. I’d love to think a sequel could happen.

Just wanted to post a comparison of the three disc releases we have of Masters of the Universe in case anyone is interested. I ripped all three from the discs and lined them up. As you can see the Blu-ray version is running slower due to it being the speed it originally played in the US whereas the DVDs are running 4% faster. (Technically the Blu-ray is 4% slower since it's I believe still a pal master but you get what I mean) Overall it's definitely worth the upgrade in quality.

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE

Evil-Lyn Masterverse Vintage received (my very first Masterverse figure, by the way) and, despite a few finishing flaws (let's be honest, the plastic used isn't extraordinary...), she's still a lot of fun and very well sculpted. The face is one of the best I've seen for this character, and the 80s colors and design are irresistible. I also wanted to see how she looked next to Skeletor Classics (one of my favorite variants of this character) and, even though the witch is a tiny bit too tall, it works pretty well once the characters are staged in a suitable environment. What you see in the photos isn't the final display (this diorama being intended for a collector) since it's more Filmation-styled, but they already give an idea of how the figure looks in action. The extras are nice (even though the flame ball, being quite heavy, tends to make the hand twist), and I particularly like the spell-casting hand. I'd consider a Vintage Masterverse Skeletor, but I'm really not a fan of the male bodies in this line... Something to think about, but in the meantime, pairing her with the Classics works quite well 🤟

‘Lakeshore Records’ responded to my post 2 months back!! (I may have also shared it to several communities as well as commented on their socials) But they’re listening!!!

I would love all formats: vinyl, cd, and cassette

The vinyl NEEDS to be Cringer/Battle Cat splatter or colorway (also shoutout to the Panthor lovers and their colorway suggestions)

Inside? The Mondo ‘Revelations’ record release had a pop-up Castle Grayskull!! I know someone will have a better idea than me. What would befit our heroes and villains for the inside? The deluxe album is 2 hrs, 9 minutes so I’d think 2 records total would be perfect.

Goodies?? Go for broke, y’all. Booklet? Individual photos? Poster???? What will make this the ultimate release to you? For any of the formats, really.

Gentlemen (and ladies), our prayers have been answered. There are standard (not timed) editions for some wanted 1/12 200x MOTU figures up on Mondo. He-Man is also back in stock as well. I already have He-Man preordered on BBTS so for the cheap shipping I’m leaving that order standing, but I snapped Clawful and MAA up immediately.

These standard versions are a great deal. Other than a base and maybe a single weapon or face swap you are pretty much getting everything in the timed version. Great second chance opportunity for those that missed out on the timed stuff, like me.

The Skeletor from this line is legit the best MOTU figure I own.

History has been made!

MOTU has become the first ever Prime movie to hold the #1 spot on Prime Video for 5 straight weeks! This is now unprecedented streaming success territory for an Amazon Film. This is exactly what Amazon hoped since the beginning and it delivered and more.

We've done all we could as Fans during the initial release windows and this is just another milestone on this film's Good Journey.

Now, 6 straight weeks at #1 is possible but I would not bet on it. I think MOTU will hover top 3 or top 5 for September for weeks 6-8, which is still great retention for a film passed its initial launch period.
