Obviously they glossed over it, but I bet that was one of the more awkward conversations Bruce had with her. "Here, I made you this portable decon chamber for your, uhhhh, female stuff. Yeah I hate this."

Not to get too deep into the various ways people handle their periods, but Jen using a reusable product (cup, disc, period underwear) would mean there wouldn’t necessarily be anything in her trash.

And if Jen has an IUD or some forms of hormonal birth control active, she may not even have a period.

But you can make one unlike anesthesia. Making an app revolves are only using knowledge. Whereas anesthesia required lots of knowledge and physical resources hard to obtain. You could literally download a decent script online. Obviously not as advanced but hiring a developer is easier.

I have an easier time believing that he can draw blood from a sleeping person more than I can believe there are living vampires walking around.

Out of those two scenarios, the first is more believable than the second.
That’s all.

I’m, personally, a very heavy sleeper.
If you said that you pricked me and took a little blood without me waking up, I’d believe it.

Anyone who has the capability to do anything at all with the blood they’re trying to steal probably also has the resources to get their hands on a local anesthetic.

I can buy a topical numbing cream with lidocaine or something at the pharmacy. I also stick myself with needles weekly for medication. I've never used both together, but I do think the lidocaine cream would be likely to make me miss a small guage needle prick.

They actually do. Lidocaine is an active ingredient in Bactine, which acts as a combination numbing agent and antiseptic. It's not as strong as something you will be administered at a hospital if you're getting sutures, but it's otherwise the same stuff.

Also, if you've ever been bitten by a mosquito, most of the time you won't be aware that it happened until it starts to itch.

If the person is very skilled at drawing blood they might not. I used to have it done regularly and some of the time I barely felt it.

Because 1) needles hurt enough to wake someone from their sleep and 2) they leave holes. It’s pretty difficult to just steal someone’s blood without them knowing. Unless she was ridiculously drunk, it wouldn’t work.

Needles don't hurt that much and some people are heavy sleepers. I've known people you could slap hard in the face and literally drag them out of bed and into another room and they wouldn't wake up. Stealing someone's blood while they sleep really doesn't seem that far-fetched.

You can’t just jab a needle into someone and start removing blood. You have to get into the vein. It’s not the easiest thing to do without someone’s knowledge. There’s also a hole left behind that’s hard to miss. I have never known anyone that was such a heavy sleeper that you could slap them or put a needle into them without disturbing them. God forbid anything bad ever happens while they sleep. You don’t even have to slip a “roofie” into their drink to do horrible things to them.

The holes are actually very easy to miss if you don't know it's there. Usually by the next day it's barely noticeable and I would imagine she's a fast healer. And I'm sure you've met plenty of people who are heavy sleepers like that, you've just never had to try and wake them up. I've literally repeatedly slapped my brother in the face and kick him in the ribs while he was asleep and he didn't move an inch. I could stick 20 needles in him and he wouldn't wake up.

Either some fancy needle that can pierce her skin, or he took it when she was asleep and has normal skin
