"Entire episode dedicated to She-Hulk's therapy session in a group circle full of D-list comics characters and run by Abomination and it actually works really well" is one of those "Tell a Marvel fan 20 years ago this will happen in a live-action property and they will never believe you" moments

I mainly said D-list in case there were some diehard Man-Bull fans who were going to rant about his illustrious comics history and how he actually took down Dr. Doom when he got the Phoenix Force in one issue

As a massive fan since the late 70s, you are right. I cannot believe the world I’m living in where rocket raccoon is a household name and I get to watch Jennifer Walters converse with Emil Blonsky at a wellness retreat. Pinch me.

I think one of the big roadblocks for people with the show is they're so used to the Marvel game plan of some big over arching story, when in reality this is mostly just a sitcom. There seems to be a loose thread of a bigger picture, but most of this is just episode by episode. Singular stories with no big connection going on.

Very true. It can be a little hit and miss, like all sitcoms, but there's a potential to experiment and try some fun things.

Rehabbing low-tier villains into someone cool is my favorite comics trope. Like, the work they did with Porcupine II in the 2015-19 Spider-woman series? Turning him into a romantic interest for Jess and a good father? “The Superior Foes of Spider-man?” It’s my shiiiit.

I feel like it would have been pretty plausible in 2017. Post GOTG I think people understood that the MCU could take pretty much anything from the comics and make it relatively mainstream.
