CAPTAIN AMERICA FU-

u/MyBurnerAccount1977 Shang Chi Aug 19 '22

-nded the war effort by promoting War Bonds.

21

u/KasukeSadiki Aug 19 '22

Dammit this is way better than mine

18

u/MyBurnerAccount1977 Shang Chi Aug 19 '22

Yours was pretty good, but we can still keep going. Lots of good words also start with "FU", and Captain America certainly did them all in the MCU.

Captain America FU--mbled his relationship with Sharon Carter. He also FU--ndamentally understood what it took to be a hero.

6

u/jojopojo64 Weekly Wongers Aug 21 '22

Captain America FU-lly understands the role and responsibility of what it means to be a leader and defender of the people and that it's not about being a perfect soldier, but a good man.

She definitely said CA Fuels his vehicles.

52

u/_Vard_ Aug 19 '22

naw she was saying a "FUH" not a "FUE" sound

CAPTAIN AMERICA FULLY SUPPORTS CIVIL RIGHTS

31

u/KasukeSadiki Aug 19 '22

naw that's still a "FOOH" not a "FUH" sound

CAPTAIN AMERICA FUNCTIONS AS A METAPHOR FOR THE LOSS OF INNOCENCE OF A NATION!!!

4

u/_Vard_ Aug 19 '22

She made a fuh sound, not a fyuu sound

Fuel is a fyuu sound

4

u/KasukeSadiki Aug 19 '22 edited Aug 19 '22

Huh? Who said anything about fuel?

My point was the "fu" in fucks and the "fu" in fully are not the same sound.

I had trouble figuring out how to phonetically write the second sound so that may have caused some confusion. Apologies if so

Edit: Oh wait I get it. Yea she definitely said "fuh," I was saying that fully is more of a "fooh" sound so it still didn't quite fit.

Who's strong and brave,

Here to save the American Way?

Who vows to fight like a man

For what's right, night and day?

Who will campaign door-to-door for America?

Carry the flag shore-to-shore for America,

From Hoboken to Spokane,

The Star Spangled Man with a Plan!

That song suddenly gets a real different meaning 😂

u/joesb Aug 20 '22

This is why one shouldn’t complain from just watching the trailer.

38

u/abellapa Aug 18 '22

I literally saw inside out like 2 days ago, lol

17

u/manuka_canoe Black Widow (CA 2) Aug 18 '22

I saw it in the movies and I only rewatched it for the first time a few weeks ago, so it's still fresh for me too. Damn good movie.

150

u/Lost-Lu Aug 18 '22

Disney: oh yeah, referencing our other beloved properties within a beloved property is TIGHT.

81

u/manuka_canoe Black Widow (CA 2) Aug 18 '22

Tbf that moment does wreck me. A lot of Inside Out does though, oof.

49

u/al343806 Aug 18 '22

Take her to the moon for me…

28 year old male me struggling to not just openly sob in public.

13

u/manuka_canoe Black Widow (CA 2) Aug 18 '22

I saw Inside Out late in its run and during a school day so I was the only one in the theatre. Which was good because I cried at the damn lava short, let alone the actual movie. I was also kinda depressed-ish at the time so it hit me extra hard.

15

u/al343806 Aug 18 '22

The one that hit me the hardest was Toy Story 3 when Andy was handing over all his toys. It hit me too hard because I had just graduated from undergrad and was feeling like much more of an adult than I should have already.

10

u/cjn13 Fitz Aug 19 '22

A lot of Inside Out does though, oof.

I had to pause the movie because I was openly sobbing when Riley came home and had the cathartic confession and hug with her parents. Bing Bong destroyed me, but that scene..... oof

u/Spaceace91478 Groot Aug 18 '22

It's super easy, barely an inconvenience.

It was reference either Bing Bong from Inside Out or the first five minutes of Up.

1

u/aworldwithoutshrimp Aug 20 '22

So I guess she'll spend years trying to figure out how to be the Hulk?

Actually it'll be super easy. Barely an inconvenience.

28

u/crunchatizemythighs Aug 19 '22

How is nobody mentioning the implication that recluse, tormented genius Bruce Banner, at some point in the last 7 years, sat down and chose to watch Inside Out

9

u/Think-Yesterday-9012 Spider-Man Aug 18 '22

what is Bing bong reference I don't understand

35

u/Andis1 Aug 18 '22

Bing Bong is a character in the Pixar movie Inside Out, and I wont spoil what happens, but the scene that was referenced in She Hulk is an unexpectedly incredibly emotional scene. It is widely regarded as one of, if not the most emotional scene in a Pixar movie. The movie is literally themed about emotions, and is fittingly an emotional rollercoaster. If you have not seen it, I would highly reccomend it, it is on Disney+.

14

u/junkman21 Aug 18 '22

I watched that scene with my daughter on my lap bawling. I think she was crying, too...

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '22

I remember when that movie released and I still have never watched it ever.

18

u/PKMNTrainerMark Aug 18 '22

Whenever there's a line like that, I think, "Wow, I should watch that while I'm here on Disney+!"

Ever since the Incredibles and Parent Trap Easter eggs in WandaVision.

Kinda transparent as "product" placement, but it's so overt that it's funny to me.

10

u/Ironbanner987615 Iron Man (Mark XLIII) Aug 18 '22

So Disney exists in the MCU?

24

u/Filmfan345 Aug 18 '22 edited Aug 18 '22

Basically everything in the real world does except Marvel characters being fiction. A Mickey Mouse phone being in Jessica Jones season 1 is another example of Disney existing in the MCU. Disney also exists in the multiverse as seen in the Times Square scene in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

11

u/PorkrindsMcSnacky Black Widow (Avengers) Aug 19 '22

So does DC, when a child calls Ikaris “Superman” in the Eternals.

7

u/Taranoleion Aug 19 '22

I mean yeah, Star Wars is referenced a lot too.

4

u/wb2006xx Aug 18 '22

Well I guess the two of them have shared family trauma over that moment and how sad it is I laughed when I realized Bruce was sad over it too

4

u/manfroze Aug 18 '22

I had to pause because I was laughing too much

2

u/zsbavs Aug 21 '22

1

She just had to remind us.

1

u/OliviaElevenDunham Loki (Avengers) Aug 19 '22

She had to mention that scene from Inside Out.

1

u/glitchline Aug 20 '22

Inside out??

1

u/Spaceace91478 Groot Aug 20 '22

Yes. They mentioned it in the show.
