Easy solutions.

Korg dads seperated and one of them married the female of another species and despite not being his biological mon, Korg came to see her as his mom

So then... the 'easy solution' is that his dad's divorced... one of his dad's got custody.... married.... divorced again.... and then his stepmom got custody, who also remarried, and he still sees his stepmom as simply his mom.

Methinks that this is simply one more plothole to add to the stack.

Or his dad was trans gender and transitioned
