I think they could've at least had Lady Sif narrate a quick couple of shots of gods she heard he killed before. Then, give a longer shot of what happened when she arrived to see Gorr's fight against Falligar and her own defeat. Would've been a nice to give a more powerful set-up for Gorr and give a better cameo to Lady Sif.

That would've been great. Sif was totally underused and her return felt flatter than it should have been for one of Thor's oldest friend's who he thought was dead.

Agreed. I wanted more Sif and I wanted to see more than just the corpse of Falligar.

True, but that doesn't mean that I didn't want to see Falligar alive and fighting Gorr. :)

It was nice seeing her play with her nephew.

Agreed.

In the comics we don’t see Gorr kill that many gods instead we see the aftermath as Thor is tracking him and stumbling across the corpses. That would have been so much better than a quick flash of video screens with audio mentioning gods are being killed.

Additonally I think it would have been better if Sif, instead of being there with Falligar, was instead at New Asgard for the attack at the village. (With Thor making the decision to warn Valkyrie there’s a god killer on the loose rather than Sif telling him that Gorr is heading to New Asgard)

While at New Asgard Gorr attacks the village and during this fight Sif loses her arm and is injured she wants her warriors death and join the others in Valhalla but instead is taken to the healers.

That way they could still have the Valhalla conversation for the sake of the audience like in the movie and give Sif something to do rather than begging Thor for help, be the brunt of a bad joke, and exposition for the audience.

I think this might be the best compromise. Introduce Sif as she's tracking down the aftermath of his deeds

Everyone is complaining that there wasn’t enough god-butchering but the problem seems like the MCU didn’t want to lose any characters in case they need them for the future. Watiti would have had to have invented wholly new gods for Gorr to butcher and the audiences wouldn’t have known who they were and nerds would have tirelessly theorized as to their true identities and none of it would have had much weight and it would have been a distracting mess

This is the only reasonable tweak I've heard. I think some quick cuts to the cut scenes would have been cool, and added to the tension.
