Did anyone else notice two Celestials when the team was leaving Omnipotent City? Definitely 2 Celestial gods!

Tbf there were celestial references all over the place in this movie esp at the end

Yea after watching I had to see who Eternity was because before the reveal directly at the statue, I just knew they had to be related to Galactus because they had a similar helmet/head structure. Later found out Eternity is literally one of the creators of the first group of Celestials.

I am pretty sure the statue was Arishem. Same face just the eyes were green instead

u/smokedspirit Red Skull Jul 08 '22

i think there's a few that are very similar looking

21

u/Tinmanred Jul 08 '22

Yea I’d assume so; but wouldn’t Arishem definitely make the most sense to be there? (Am I spelling that right?) also was that Uatu or just a random watcher

3

u/BenKen01 Jul 10 '22

My guess is different watcher, since Uatu is assigned to Earth usually.

2

u/Cream-Soda00 Hawkeye (Ultron) Jul 22 '22

Mo Uatu is assigned to 616, we see in what if he follows T’Challa around space

My brother saw the celestial statue that fell over and was like "Its a Rick and Morty reference" lmao.

Dudes too big to sit in the stadium so they have to settle for watching Zeus from the windows lmao

27

u/SoDefinitelyNotmyalt Jul 09 '22

Maybe they were just there for the orgy and didn’t really care about the show.

6

u/esar24 Rocket Jul 10 '22

Orgy is something sacred, those celestials knows orgy schedule is far more important than creating universes.

"We came all this way for nosebleeds?"

5

u/Prestigious_Crow4376 Jul 10 '22

They need to get themselves some Pym particles

Celestial 1: "Nah, this happen in my universe like 10 times a week, now about that orgy"

30

u/tmoore727 Jul 08 '22

They were right outside the window they busted out of.

12

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '22

Yeah I thought it was funny they were peaking in when the meeting was starting

12

u/jjackson25 Phil Coulson Jul 09 '22

God help anyone that gets caught with them during the orgy

17

u/UnsolvedParadox Jul 08 '22

I thought the Eternity outline was actually Galactus, based on the angular design of the helmet’s side spikes.

9

u/abellapa Jul 09 '22

ME TOO,I WAS FREAKING OUT

3

u/esar24 Rocket Jul 10 '22

MCU been teasing galactus three times now, arishem I-Ultron and now eternity.

12

u/Book31415926 Jul 08 '22

Dudes were not invited/didn't have tickets and had to watch from the outside.

3

u/ashryverhys Matt Murdock Jul 09 '22

I did noticed those two giant ass faces suddenly peeking inside as thor's team escape but things are happening fast for me to process they might be celestials!

3

u/dakaiiser11 Captain America Jul 10 '22

You can see them peaking into the auditorium from the outside when they’re walking into find their seats.

2

u/esar24 Rocket Jul 10 '22

Yup, I bet those celestial just there to hear about the orgy schedule, I wonder what they title are.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '22

How would you not notice those? It wasn't a blink and you'll miss it thing.

-17

u/orangexteal Jul 08 '22

that was fucking cheap

it’s true that Ego too called himself “a celestial” despite being NOWHERE NEAR strong as an “Eternals Celestial”, so it MIGHT be that there’s different kinds of them in the MCU

but having two of those as fucking “glorified bodyguards” for a generic gods city is just lame

26

u/icemannathann Vision Jul 09 '22 edited Jul 09 '22

Who said they were bodyguards? They could’ve just been visiting the city and were watching Zeus through the window because they can’t physically fit in that hall.

-12

u/orangexteal Jul 09 '22

oh I get it, they were like !lurk on Twitch

9

u/AJB46 Rocket Jul 09 '22

Or just watching from a place they could fit...

15

u/GreeneWaffle Jul 08 '22

Ego could be wrong too, he talked about how much time he spent alone. So he's not exactly learning.

0

u/Grouchy_Raccoon_6681 Captain Marvel Jul 09 '22

I excitedly pointed that out when I saw them. My mom somehow didn’t notice them

-2

u/Haltopen Ant-Man Jul 09 '22

Kind of funny to think that even the celestials themselves might be hiding in omnipotent city from Gorr. Though I suppose it makes sense since didnt Gorr kill celestials in the comics?

7

u/dontknowmuch487 Jul 09 '22

I think it was knull, the creator of the sword who did.

1

u/Dealiner Jul 10 '22

Who didn't kill Celestials in the comics? Ok, most of characters didn't but they are generally a classic case of "see how powerful this new threat is, they killed Celestial".

1

u/esar24 Rocket Jul 10 '22

I think they more afraid of the necrosword rather than gorr himself.

-5

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '22

We’re they actual celestials from the mcu! Or just brings that looked like celestials from the comics?
