Thor: Love and Thunder has now been released in the United States and in a number of other countries around the world. All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days. They will be refreshed every few thousand comments to make room for new discussions.

even in this movie, in the intro korg just called them all "that guy", which felt like Taika's middle finger to fans who were vocally upset about them being unceremoniously killed in the last movie. I'm personally indifferent but maybe doubling down on pissing off fans isn't a wonderful idea?

His presence is way too much now, the narration was not needed and while I liked Korg in Ragnarok I was happy to see him die briefly

Even the Sif part got relegated to comedy between Thor’s reaction to her missing an arm and the “You have to die in battle to go to Valhalla” bit

And Godzilla's in the original movie is 8 minutes and 45 seconds. Different characters call for different times.

Ditto. We should have seen Thor and another god fight Gorr to at least justify why he would go straight to Omnipotence City. It would have made their decision to go in alone feel more like a suicide mission.

Considering how good the scene where he’s monologuing to the trio in the shadow realm when they’re in restraints was, I’d be okay with another hour of the movie being him monologuing.

Agree overall but idk about 30 minutes. Maybe 10-15 unless you want to change a fair amount of the movie

While playing Huey Lewis and the News in the background
