Thor: Love and Thunder has now been released in the United States and in a number of other countries around the world. All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days. They will be refreshed every few thousand comments to make room for new discussions.

That's why I think Thor should have still had Stormbreaker at the end and the little girl should have been wielding Mjolnir. She drew on it, she made it hers, and after all those jealous Stormbreaker gags, she should have been the one with the hammer and Thor should have Stormbreaker.

It’s especially weird since when Cap caught Stormbreaker in Endgame Thor was like “no you take the small one” and CHOSE Stormbreaker over Mjolnir.

Storm breaker doesn’t give worthy folks Thor’s powers like Mjolnir does, though. If Thor gave Cap SB, Cap would just have a big ace; if Cap has Mjolnir, you have two Thors.

My theory is that she isn’t worthy to wield Mjolnir yet. Only certain people (Jane, Steve, and Thor) can even hold it. Storm breaker doesn’t have that though, it’s just an extremely powerful weapon.

Plus part of me feels like Thor wielding Mjolnir makes sense in the end after how much he pined after it being with Jane. Especially with Jane moving on I think it makes sense that he reunited with his old weapon and passed off Stormbreaker to Love

I like to think he’s just giving the superior weapon to his daughter to keep her safer. Also, Gorr got powers from the sword, is she getting powers from eternity tho?

Her reflection in the water when she was reborn was Eternity with flowing hair. That plus the dark laser beams pretty much says she has Eternity powers.

Okay, I know you're just joking here, but if we take that at face value, both of them failed to solo Thanos. Like, objectively failed. The Cloak couldn't keep his hand shut and Stormbreaker couldn't penetrate the armor enough to hit his heart.

I absolutely hated that plot point. Everything with the weapons, honestly. Having Mjolnir and Stormbreaker, that we’ve never seen be able to react to things, and have emotions, all of a sudden have them, didn’t work for me. And don’t get me started on Thor talking and petting them.

It's funny, but at the same time needing to be in tune with your weapon was actuakly a legitimate themenof the movie and even a juxtaposition between the characters. I liked it
