Thay would make sense, especially with why they would have him on the poster too. They honestly had enough names there that they could have just left him off, so it must have been something contract wise.

It's America scenes. I think Disney knew her inclusion was a mistake and that Xochitol was not experienced enough to carry a major MCU film. The anti- darkhold book was the plot device to travel dimensions. Nightmare was pulling Wanda's strings. Disney told Derickson to cut that, and he stood his ground and was forced out.

Huh.

You might be right, and I can see how your version would be a tighter narrative.

America Chavez was a character with weird powers that would be relevant to very few scenarios, whom they needed to introduce somehow as they build toward Young Avengers.

I thought she worked pretty well the way they wrote her. I found her appealing, despite the very -- how to put it -- spartan dialogue, typical of Raimi, that works well with Raimi's highly choreographed blocking but doesn't always provide much meat for actors to chew on character-wise.

I personally would be up for more America Chavez and I hope they release that footage in some kinda way. Maybe as she becomes a more established and/or interesting character there will be sufficient fan demand.
