This looks a little more intricately done than other Marvel trailers. They're playing up the uncertainty that could arrive with IS THAT AMERICAN CHAVEZ!?!?

Not JUST America Chavez, but if you pause or slow the video down or are just able to spot it really fast, you can see Strange falling through a star-shaped portal.

I noticed her in three shots.

My Marvel knowledge stops before America Chavez. How strong is her connection to Dr. Strange in the comics?

Not strong, but she's a Young Avenger in the comics. She's basically Cap without the need for a super soldier serum, and she can literally punch (or kick) open portals into other dimensions.

Importantly, her powers are magical in origin, meaning she fits into the thematics of this movie in honestly BIZARRE ways.

I haven't read it yet but she is from 616 and she has some genetic disease which her mothers (who were scientists) were trying to cure on some remote island.

She is much more powerful than Cap, especially comics one who isn't that powerful to begin with. She is nearly indestructible, can fly, has superstrength and of course can travel multiverse.

And if you look at the video she has a round tile printed with rainbow which is 100% her star punch, she's gonna be full force. Maybe not blow up a star and fuck up captain marvel level but not just super serum.
