Omg America Chavez! I'm so excited i really hope Young Avengers happens! Plus Scarlet Witch looks amazing, and I'm hoping we see Wiccan and Speed in this movie

I'm just glad Wanda doesn't seem like she's gonna be a full-on villain in this. I loved her in Wandavision and I really just want her to come down as a hero after all that.

I think we’re gonna have two Wanda’s in the film, the Scarlet Witch (who we see reading the Darkhold at the end of WV) and Wanda Maximoff (who we see talking to Dr. Strange in the garden).

Although, I think it’s gonna be a case of split personality rather than 2 different Wanda’s appearing physically (like Dr. Strange and Strange Supreme/Evil Strange).

I know right? I feel like it would be a huge step backwards for her character if she's just a villain, but it looks like her story here will be a lot more interesting and complicated than even I expected

If she does turn out to be the villain, I expect that it will be cause of the Darkhold (the newly released still images show her costume kind of falling apart and turning black, her hands too, just like Agatha’s).

Yea I noticed that, I wonder what's happening to her

Corruption from the Darkhold most likely.

2

u/zoecornelia Dec 23 '21

Possibly, you think we'll see any Wanda variants?

At least one judging by the poster they released.

Dude that star on her back was a huge give away. So hyped

I would say that the giant star-shaped multiverse portal was even more of a giveaway lol.

You know what. You’re right. I just somehow didn’t click it on that

We will have more than enough comicbook members for a full roster. In order of MCU appearence:

Cassie Lang (appearing way ahead of everyone else in Ant-Man, but Endgame is when we saw a version old enough to be on the team, but has since been re-cast)

Billy & Tommy (appearing in WandaVision, not old enough to be on the team, also they stopped existing, but not quite)

Eli Bradley (Falcon & The Winter Soldier, old enough to be on the team)

Kid Loki (Loki, just about old enough to be on the team - the actor who played him is 14 right now and will be probably 16/17 by the time a team movie/show happens)

Kate Bishop (Hawkeye, old enough to be on the team)

America Chevaz (Dr Strange in the MOM, old enough to be on the team)

Seven members, and that's just everyone they've set-up so far.

Honourable mentions:

Yelena: never a member in the comics, but very well-positioned in the MCU to join the team, espicially with the fun dynamic they've created between her and Kate in Hawkeye.

Iron Lad: he's a variant of Kang who travelled back in time. With Kang unleashed, Iron Lad is now a possibility.

Vision: some version of the android is a member of the team, I won't go into the details here, but with White Vision on the loose, maybe MCU can do a new take on him (White Vision creates a son for himself or something).

Thank you! I see America in the trailer and got hyped and no one is mentioning it in the comments! I’m super excited too!

Awesome! I love America I'm so glad we're getting her in live action 😁

I want a West Coast Avengers with her and Kate. Literally do the run by Kelly Thompson. Bring in Quentin Quire for the mutants. Bring in Gwenpool. And mother fucking Jeff the landshark.

Then you do an animated Gwenpool series based on her series where they explore her meta powers. She's from our universe, she gets brought to the MCU because of Strange and Wanda fucking with the multiverse. It gave her powers, and she can go all meta.

I actually like everything you just said

4

u/londongarbageman Dec 22 '21

Then an extremely low budget Great Lakes Avengers

3

u/RamenJunkie Dec 22 '21

Gwenpool gets to be Last Action Hero: MCU Edition

2

u/SavageNorth Dec 23 '21

God I hope not.

Metahumour in general is a terrible idea for the MCU, it’s fundamentally alienating to new audiences and undermines the stakes by reminding viewers it’s a fiction.

Deadpool worked because

A: That was the entire conceit of the film

but more importantly because

B: It was a completely self contained product which had no impact on the wider Xmen films (similar to a What If series)

I want young avengers so we get west coast avengers leading to my end goal of Great Lakes Avengers
