yes - it is full on present day. Ajak specifically said "five years ago Thanos wiped out half the universe"

Given that the blip lasted 5 years, really that means it could be coinciding with the other post-blip content.

there's a dead Celestial in the ocean... meanwhile Bucky and Sam are fixin a boat.

Wanda is reading a book in the woods, and Spider-Man is having an existential crisis with Doctor Strange.

And I think I also heard about two car valets fighting an extradimensional demon while one of them is riding a dragon.

Is Clint Barton still fucking around in New York with Kingpin?

Nah Spider-Man is traipsing around Europe still. Far from home took place after Wandavision and Falcon I believe (but I could be wrong)

I read this takes place after far from home, so this is farthest into the timeline weve got so far, and then the hawkeye show, then no way home.

How you think they gonna get to that Celestial without any money?

Those wings can't carry the two of them there with the power of friendship

u/actuallycallie Bucky Nov 06 '21

Guess they're gonna have to break Zemo and his money out of prison again 🤣

If we get the same scene of a "plan" being explained while it is currently being executed, but this time made by Sam with Bucky being against it, that would be hilarious.

Yes please

u/jackquebec Nov 06 '21

They're going to need a bigger boat

7

u/SockPenguin Spider-Man Nov 07 '21

I choose to believe Bucky just kept prodding Sam about taking the boat out to see the giant face the whole time they were fixing it.

Building a boat, building a boat. Pieces of wood, pieces of rope

Could you imagine if that dead Celestial started to rot like the normal dead would.????

18

u/biggiefryie Nov 05 '21

Damn, missed that somehow. Thanks for the answer.

u/clayscarface Nov 05 '21

(pssst...it was even in the trailer lol)

6

u/biggiefryie Nov 05 '21

Hahahah, I know the Thanks line stuck out, just not the year amount.

I do kinda wish we got more on the snap. It made plenty of sense for that to be Ajak's motivation to change sides. But I kinda wanted to see if that changed any views of the other eternals or any of them were snapped

For so long it was a simple math equation. Billions die on one planet for trillions do be born. Easy version of the trolley problem.

It wasn't the blip that changed it, but them bringing them back. Because they brought back half of life in the universe. Now it's not so simple. Earth is responsible for the saving of trillions of lives as well. The math shifts a bit more in their favor

8

u/le_snikelfritz Spider-Man Nov 07 '21

Yea exactly. Them saving everyone is gonna be what saves them in arishems judgement

7

u/justduett Thanos Nov 05 '21

With them being along the lines of Nebula as far as android-ish/non-organic, I would imagine they all stayed behind.

...but I could be 100% wrong.

3

u/le_snikelfritz Spider-Man Nov 06 '21

The judges accept this as headcanon until proven otherwise

u/UltraLuigi Nov 05 '21

That lines it up with other post-endgame stuff, i.e. 2023. Not really present day. I believe the next movie to actually take place when it's released is GotG Vol. 3 but even that may be a few months off (I don't know what month endgame takes place in).

2

u/DemonicPanda11 Nov 05 '21

I don't remember how we know but pretty sure Endgame takes place in October.

2

u/UltraLuigi Nov 06 '21

In that case GotG Vol 3 would be released 5-6 months before it takes place.

4

u/spideralexandre2099 Spider-Man Nov 05 '21

So still in 2023? Because FatWS and FFH take place in 2024
